Might I ask where you found dark blue metal siding. I have searched high and low and cannot find it anywhere.

I have a question, I have a chassis that measures 8 inches wide and 27 feet long, is it possible to make a food trailer on that chassis?

Is this substantially cheaper than just buying a cargo trailer?

Well it allowed me to make it far larger and taller than cargo for that money

Eric.... I'm going through your series of videos, whilst I build my own 24 foot trailer... I'm using mostly the same materials you are, as per your advice. Thank you for your time, explanations, and advice! I'm sure there are things you would do a little differently, if you were to build another one, but that is the way we all do things! I will message from time to time, as I make progress with your video's and my build!

I would just put a bit more pitch on the roof. Some times when we are parked the streets pitch more than the roof.

Yeah I had it leaning in my garage for quite a while with nothing to do with it. I debated making a large grill over some cinder blocks with it. Using it as the part to hold the fire not cooking on.

@bigbaldfooddude
@bigbaldfooddude Жыл бұрын
Everything is holding up well. If I would do anything different on the trailer I would use the metal on the ceiling inside as well and pitch it another 3 inches. The reason why is we had some rain with high winds and it pushed some water up the pitch which dripped on the ceiling and changed the color a bit. A simple can of spray paint fixed it but if it was on metal it would not show any damage
@marks7352
@marks7352 Жыл бұрын
@@bigbaldfooddude I might try a pitch 1/4 inch every foot. And then coat the roof with something. Thanks and you did an awesome build
@bigbaldfooddude

I'm going to run a nice big bead of caulk creating a lip that I think will eliminate any water blowing back up and over the top side. As well as putting a beat of caulk across the entire underside on the low side so the water has to drip and will not blow back up in
@marks7352

What kind of plywood did you use. I think I might use marine grade 3/4 inch. But if you are doing a cheaper route I'd like to go your way
@bigbaldfooddude
@bigbaldfooddude Жыл бұрын
Hey Mark, due to the cost of plywood today if you have any extra exterior paint I would use typical tongue and groove 3/4" plywood but get it well coated. That way anything that splashes up on it will not seep into it.

I tore the edges of the paper, but I still see the press marks. Did a second press, just like what you did, it really didn't go away. Experimented with the small cricket heat press , saw this from Stahl's video, thought was impressive till I tried it, not completely gone and took quite a while to get rid of the lines. What kind of Polyester shirt are you using. BTW, what pressure did you use on your first press n on your second. Thank you.

How is the flat roof with snow load rain etc?
@bigbaldfooddude
@bigbaldfooddude 2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, if doing it again I would increase the angle a few more inches. During one event it started pouring with winds and our line would not quit and the trailer wasn't exactly on level ground but since we couldn't pack up and roll out it took some water on the ceiling. Just a few water marks. I am going to work some things out during the winter
