I'm a total dunce. I received a poinsettia at Christmas last year. I didn't repot it or anything. So a few days ago I BRUTALIZED all of my houseplants. Especially the poinsettia. I've the last month the leaves were turning yellow and dying. I was wondering when the leaves would "turn" red. 😂 I did not think, "Oh, let's look for directions on how to care for this. MY BAD! I tore of lots of the roots, jammed it into a pot that is huge, in heavy peaty dirt with some gravel at the bottom & forgot to poke a drain hole in the bottom. Oh OF COURSE IT'S DYING! Wondering what I might do to save it. The GOOD thing is a branch that had broken had a node below the dead stem that was sprouting. I put it into a glass of water & in 3 days it's getting a root & more baby leaves. Any advice is appreciated. I swear upon the droopy yellowing leaves of this poinsettia & others that I will remember in the future to go to KZbin before butchering any houseplants. 😢😢😅😅😅😅😢😢😢

Why did Australia send and sell the trees to UK? Why not the world? 😮 Come on. Where do I buy a wollemi tree or seeds? Can you shipping it to the USA? Thanks

Mine is still in original plastic pot with gold foil decorative covering. I put it in a window that gets sun in the morning.i mist the top every morning, keep it moist. It’s probably 3 years old now. Even turns red in winter. I’m in Zone 8.

Good afternoon! You have recorded a very informative video-thank you very much for it. But it does not seem to you that you have overlooked the main thing to add to the plot the flowering of 183 species of magnolias that grow in this botanical garden - and you need to devote considerable time to this, at least 30-45 seconds for each species. Thank you for your hard work and your work. Sincerely, Maxim Ryabov, your colleague from Russia

Some of us still use plants as medicine. They are food after all. Let thy food be thy medicine, thy medicine food. They are one and the same and have been for millennia, at least until corporations saw an opportunity to make big money, and that combination is never to be trusted. Give plants a try. You’d be surprised how healthy you will be, and no side effects!

This should be shared with other cities' conservation authorities. Local nurseries and Home Depot are so bad at helping maintain the Ecosystem in Ontario.

A small piece of mine that I have had over 1 year broke off last summer so I just stuck it in dirt and it grew. By fall this little piece had red bracts on it. Simple. They get the same light all year and now the mother plant has tons of red bracts on it. Goes out in summer then in for winter.

So my poinsettia was purchased in a pot with 3 other leafy plants that I want to keep alive. What I’m assuming is that I’ll need to remove the poinsettia from the arrangement and then continue along with the cutback and repotting that you demonstrated. That way I could possibly save both the leafy plants as well as the poinsettia. Does this sound right?

I clone them by putting the pruned branches in water for a week or so until I see roots or for a week whether I see roots or not and plant them in some Happy Frog soil and keep them for many years to come!

I made one last year with my son at a Kids in Nature event. They provided the material. I was looking at a way I could do it with my pre-K students, since I don't have access to wool. Thank you for the great ideas. It isn't letting me post a picture.
