Thank you, GwynneGal, for presenting these singing metadramas performed in "Car 54..."

It's July, 2023. After I watch the above performance, I'm off to watch "Disorganized Crime", with Fred Gwynne. Soon, I'll watch "Cotton Club", with Fred Gwynne. Loved him since I was a kid...I'm 73, now.

This clip contains in abundant amounts what is painfully lacking in most TV shows today-- something called TALENT!

🔹️ I love this show 👀👍❗ I wish I was alive back then so I could watch it. I believe this was also shown in Australia because I remember my (late) mother telling me about it ❗ Australian tv nowadays is the worst in the world, no exception. Nothing at all funny or entertaining on. Bring back these old shows as reruns ❗
@drcmac2 жыл бұрын
🔹️ P.S. We do NOT have anything like MeTV, Antenna TV, Decades TV, Rewind TV or Cozi TV in Australia. Australian TV is pathetic & appallingly bad. God bless America 👀👍❗

I just watched a old TV show of the Munsters and Herman Munster played the guitar and sang 😂 so I googled Fred Gwynne playing guitar and Sure Enough he played pretty good at guitar 👍👍😀

Can someone explain this to me? When they say the line "Give a cheer and not the bird to the hardy captain of the 53rd." Do they mean cheer for him instead of flipping him off? I'm just wondering this if there was a difference in meaning over the years.
@MotownFan19623 жыл бұрын
"Giving someone the bird" can also mean "blowing someone a raspberry" (aka the Bronx cheer).

There's a great Joe E. Ross story that's been around a long time. The heads from Proctor & Gamble (the show's sponsor) and their wives coming to visit the "Car 54" set one day. They're meeting Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis and other important figures, and they come across Joe E. Ross' dressing room. The door was opened and they could see, sitting on the couch, Joe E. Ross masturbating like crazy. One of the wives started screaming, and Joe E. Ross, erect penis still in his hand, says to them, "What, what, what is this? Ooh ooh!"
