@@FluxFreeman To me, Blood Meridian was just an album by Numb. I haven't read a fictional book in years, will have to acquire some McCarthy. In my defense, 1985 was the year I started things like sex, so...and then I got my first drum machine, first synth, first sequencer, first band, first psychonautical explorations.... I was reading a lot of McCammon and Barker in the late 80s, Anne Rice's Lestat was new...so many things I can remember about that time. Thanks for the clue on something I missed. Love the Numb album, anyway. :)

I use them myself when I want to listen to some Autechre now-- I have two screens. :) I need to go through them and check them all for order though, as YT got goofy on me and I'm still trying to understand the why. All made from the other 19 videos of this series...it's as much happenstance as editing, which is part of the fractal nature of Autechre, all running nekkid with Fibonacci through the tall grasses that pagans gravitate towards, all masked-up and feral-lookin'. Or something.

The more I come out of my shell here, the more I'm gonna wanna work with everyone cool and willing. I have unannounced plans in this area, just sayin'. I've been out on a limb studying for decades and now wanna check the whole tree out, said abstractly. :) When I get to streaming (soon), we can talk more about such things. I actually have someone else's music as my project right now, but I'm also itching to get to Oversteps and all beyond it-- and I really appreciate you noting my growth, as I've worked so hard at it this year. High praise, sir. The funnest part with this batch is how quickly I moved...and how well they are being received for it. I do feel I'm onto something good here. Easy to be passionate with Autechre's music. I have someone's album in front of me to master right now, but Oversteps is about to get turned into stems for next week as well. A fair point and well-noted, I've just been developing a skill to sell, as I have no income presently. I gave 2024 to this effort, am planning to return to music in the winter, so not far off now. There's actually a ton of music hidden on my channel, maybe I'll put some together in a playlist and share it for exploring. Most of the music I've made has been live and more akin to Autechre livesets than something that's easy to share...but my real goal is working sound and video at once, in live fashion, brapping off. :) The technology and my needs in it are starting to come together, finally-- but I need an income to progress with it. I make music when I'm happy and my needs are met...or just obsess in that direction, which I can't do again yet. But noted, thanks. :)

Anyway, give me some time and I'll put together a playlist and share it, as I don't want the stuff explicitly public-- not yet, anyway...but there's maybe 100 hours of stuff Unlisted on my channel. Soon, I'll start streaming them again and you might catch them live. Maybe really soon. And thanks for making me go listen to my last album, it had been a year or so since I had. I have the creative habit of tying things until something sticks, then moving to the next element and going again. I really don't do well at *aiming*, but in terms of, say, adjectives? Many get used. Busy, still, static, dynamic, colorful, muted, vibrant, cold, on and on and on and on...I let the music and the visualized waveforms speak to me and then amplify what I hear...into the range of light. O_O That was more than the intended mouthful, but hopefully makes some sense. Another way I might say it is I can only let the sounds out of their hiding places, always look forward to seeing how that turns out myself as well. On that note...I once again tried to aim with Notwo, which I *just* finished...and once again, it decided to aim for itself, not my vision...so I let it. :) Honestly, I'd love to show my work as I do it, but I'd need a far more powerful machine to do so. I spend a lot of time waiting on rendering layers. This batch was more about minimizing those waits and finding faster workflows. I learned a lot. I appreciate the comments and...the appreciation. :) More coming in a few hours, if I'm still up. About to start the last track. All will be public by Sunday. Cheers.

It's difficult to quantify how much this band changed music itself back then, but they really did. I expect it'll always remain fresh because they are the bleeding edge of experimentation even still. I can't name another act that has maintained their relevance as profoundly as Autechre...and I love still being able to say that so easily. :) Thanks for watching. More coming.

It is a lot like those old visualizers if you imagine me building a new 'preset' from the ground up for each track I undertake. Definitely not derived by just running it through something automatic, but also definitely in the spirit of the old software-- mostly because of the weak PC I am doing it on, give me time and who knows where I might take it. Not sure if you are asking or suggesting, but this artwork has nothing to do with AI, nor do I, yet. I'll let other people test it, I'm busy. If someone wants me to help them develop it, they can pay me. :) What I am doing here is just pushing pixels around with effects and timing. I could do it for any music. I've also stated clearly what was used in the making, DaVinci Resolve and kdenlive.

Fun Fact: this was the hardest one for me and I first made it backwards, then forwards, then backwards, then forwards, then backwards, then forwards, then mixed them all together.
