This was incredibly helpful. I'm very new to spinning, and by extension carding wool, and this video explained some things that I found quite difficult earlier in a very clear way.

Good morning, I have just found this and want to share a small bit of it with a primary school class; I am doing an art project with them about bogs. We will be looking at natural fibres and also doing a small bit of weaving on cardboard looms. I wanted to show them how the raw fleece which I will bring in, can be first carded and then spun into wool yarn. May I please have permission to share this with them? Many thanks, much appreciated, Lucy

Thank you!! Is it necessary to flip the carder for the last part of the hair youre putting into the main carder or can u skip the flip and just scrap it onto the other one?(so teeth face upwards whole time no flip needed)

I've been watching a British comedy where the protagonists are attempting to become self-sufficient. One of the episodes centers around them attempting to make wool into cloth so they could weave it. I wanted to see how carding actually worked, thank you so very much for this informative video.

What a lovely rabbit your Magnus is! He was so calm and patient during his treatment. Thank you for sharing. Our bunny has a crusty eye corner which could start an eye infection so we have an appointment with the vet in a couple of days to have it looked at. Our girl is a very friendly six year old dwarf lop, now a singleton since her sister passed on so she misses out on some of the grooming that another rabbit would provide. So we do our best with daily brushing, frequent stroking and a rub over her head, sides and back with a dampened flannel to simulate a rabbit washing her, especially when she's moulting and she loves this! She eats well; plenty of hay and fresh greenery daily, occasional treats and plenty of human attention, companionship and contact. She enjoys being read to, finding the boxes or paper bags of fancy hay that we hide all over the house for her to find and munch. She likes to play with us too, sometimes with her following us and vice versa and sometimes other games, such as knocking over and throwing cardboard tubes or digging for treats in a box of hay or crushed paper, tearing packing paper to shreds, the usual things. She is alert and affectionate and often jumps onto our laps and washes us while being brushed or petted but she won't stay still long enough for us to wash her eye fully and like most rabbits, dislikes being picked up and held, hence the visit to the vet. Your rabbit is lovely and it's great that his eye problem has cleared up at last. May I ask why you chose Magnus for his name?

Finally a carding tutorial to get me started on the right foot with my carders! Been on the wrong foot apparently with my first attempts following other tutorials… so many details in my technique that need fixing, thank you!

I'm watching this is 2021 but it's incredibly helpful!!! My rabbit is going through the same thing and we're treating it, but it's good to know that we're doing the right thing by washing his eyes and taking him to the vet regularly.

He’s a beautiful fellow. My poppy has blocked tear ducts and she’s ten this year. It gets gunky real quick and she has to go to the vets for treatment. I need a way to keep her under control at home so speaking to the vet today for further guidance. Fingers crossed

How do you tell AMM from carniolans? It looks like above has some white/gray bands in the black, and supposedly carnis are like that too. I am not disagreeing with you but I find this confusing. And another part of why it can be confusing is that I'd heard people have muddied/mixed the genes a lot; though that mostly refers to Italian/Carni crosses in North America.

Omg I love you! You’re hilarious!! You remind me exactly if myself with the tuft of hair! I’m obsessed with pulling them and they don’t always let you but they come right out! Anyway I literally JUST DID ALL THIS! I am so reassured now that I saw your video. He had some crust that I hadn’t wiped off as I assumed he would. Today I decided it had to come off so I wet a baby rag and wiped around his face like you did but I hadn’t seen this video yet so wasn’t sure I was ok to do it. He seemed fine so I figured it was helpful & necessary. I still see a little stuff in two ducts so wanted to wipe again so went to google to ensure what I was doin was safe. I found this video and am so happy to see it & what I did was ok! Thank you!
