Hello great video just a quick question we cannot get this one in the UK but I can import one so this means I cannot just go test drive one based on the same model in your video could this be a daily driver and a prt time off roader I have seen videos and some people say they are more like farm trucks ?? are they really or are the 2024 a bit more refined ( for want of a better word ?) regards Dave in the UK
@ExhaustNotesAustralia16 күн бұрын
Hi there. The 2024 model is definitely more refined than the model it replaces, but they are still quite farm truck oriented. That said, we know a few readers who have done a few bits of work to them (improving suspension and tuning engine), and drive them every single day.

Great information , may sound like a stupid question but can you warm the motor up before driving off in the hev model ? , I'm the type of person that hates cold start driving . Cheers thanks in advance
@ExhaustNotesAustralia20 күн бұрын
Because they come with an internal combustion engine, hybrid cars only need to be warmed up in cold weather for a moment or two to be driven safely.

You're right. The shifter is no ideal, but you get used to it, and honestly, you don't even have to hit park. The car would do it by itself when you turn it off or open the door

@garviereАй бұрын
I have watched so many of these about the 2.8 Vs the V8 but we do have them here so you all assume everyone knows the answer to this question! NONE of you EVER refer to the V8 as petrol (gas) or Diesel. WHYYYYY! You all talk about the four cylinder 2.8 Diesel being more economical than “the V8” but you never say “more economical than the V8 gas” or “more economical than the V8 Diesel” so because you emphasise the Diesel when mentioning the 2.8 but say nothing about fuel when referring to the V8 one might assume that the V8 is a gas engine but then you talk about different types of intercooler so then I’m confused! Please put me out of my misery, is the V8 76 series gas or Diesel?? Because if it’s Diesel, I want one! Never mind the economy, I’ll get that back in the difference of price! Come on, please tell me it’s Diesel. 😜
@ExhaustNotesAustraliaАй бұрын
It's diesel. Both the V8 and the turbo 4-cylinder are diesel.

So is there NOT a manual version available!!!? Why would Toyota not give the option. I have a manual Discovery 2 TD5 and I live it. I drive 350 to 500 miles a week and never even think about changing gear as a drag, I enjoy it. The 76 series is in my opinion the only car that replaces the Disco 2 but not having a manual option really disappoints me! I just don’t like auto’s.
@ExhaustNotesAustraliaАй бұрын
Toyota has recently announced that now they're phasing out the V8, the manual will be added to this model: www.exhaustnotes.com.au/v8-landcruiser-dead-as-toyota-confirms-manual-4-cylinder/

@ExhaustNotesAustraliaАй бұрын
The MG3 Core represents great value for money, and it's hard to fault with the warranty. While it doesn't have buckets of power, it's not a bad place to start your motoring journey. The Suzuki Swift is also worth a look.

Great video presentation very informative. I bet your first car hadn't got the tech depending when you passed. My first car was a 1963 Vauxhall £300. The only accessory was a jack and a new radio that I had fitted. Car's have come a massive way since I passed in 1991. The GT Line S has all the accessories. It's a great looking little car and a big improvement. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for your review. We've order an auto Green Picanto Sport because the small fat wheels are more comfy for our shopping and A to B. We can afford quite expensive cars, however we'll use it as a second car and as a faithful 2004 Getz replacement. Melbourne Also. It's nice to see you driving on the Freeway. Few other Aussie testers do this basic 'fit for purpose' review..

If you're going to review a car at least pronounce the name of the maker correctly. Other than that, not too shabby.
@allanbriggs90073 ай бұрын
I think this comment comes up on every Peugeot review. The correct pronunciation is Purr-zho. (as far as I understand) however it is common practice to also pronounce it Pu - jo (the way this reviewer has pronounced it.) When I first purchased my 404 in 1969 you heard both pronunciations - maybe different languages also come into it - eg how do they pronounce it in France or Germany?? This is a pretty good review. If you want to look at some really ordinary reviews of Peugeots try some (not all) of the English reviews - They tend to follow a formula and spend more time talking about the logo and looks than how the car actually performs.

I,m waiting for my third brand new MX5 (now the ND3/2024 version) in the end of this month in the colour Machine Grey, soft top. Now in Europe, is only available the 1.5l 132HP, and in Portugal costs about 35 000euros, but this is perfectly acceptable, in a so light car. Mazda Europe had the 2.0 engine, until the last year, but with the high taxes here in Europe, mainly here in Portugal the car cost, were about 60 000 euros or plus, near the Porsche 718 Boxter, about 70 000/80 000 euros, depending on the specification. Thank you for the review.
