Ref the suggestion on the downswing to feel like you are hitting the ball with your right hip. Would this be similar with the full swing, or just a feel for chipping? Thank you.

Bill, In the full swing I'm more focused on clearing the left (lead) hip as this aids release and a full rotation through impact. Tony

Hi Tony, how tall is the plane swing? Trying to figure out if it will fit in my garage? Also, you have the left arm and left shoulder is responsible for the width on the backswing. Is it the same left arm and shoulder responsible for maintaining width on the downswing? Thank you.
@planeswinggolf

Hi Bill, The diameter of the PlaneSWING is not the determining factor of space/height required, because the PowerSLIDER extends beyond the upper circle. You can get away with 7ft 6in, but 8ft is safe. The best barometer is "if you can swing a 4 iron, you're fine". With regard to width in transition (downswing), there will be a narrowing as you've hinged the wrists to 90 degrees, though you'll still strive to maintain a straight left (lead) arm. The width in the back swing is created in the first 3 feet. Kind regards, Tony

Great explanation. Thx very much. Just to be sure on the backswing the width being determined by the first 3 feet is due to the right arm “breaking” and the wrists hinging after that first 3 feet? Correct? Thx again. Loved the part in the video that explains the width is determined by the shoulders, not the arms.

@planeswinggolf 9 күн бұрын
Hi, This will differ by golfer and swing type but ideally you want the angle running from ball through top of bicep. PlaneSWING is multi adjustable and works for all swing types, which is why it’s used by PGA coaches, Tour players and golfers of all levels in over 80 countries. Kuchar, like Zach Johnson, is a one-planer, so flatter than say Rory McIlroy. Bryson DeChambeau, who along with his coach Mike Schy, bought 4 PlaneSWINGS (2 adult & 2 junior), is single plane/zero shift, similar to Moe Norman. But the majority of our customers are two-planers. Happy to chat. Kind regards, Tony

From the side on view… shouldn’t the Plane Swing intercept your sternum? In which case you need to stand about 3 inches or so forward …and have the Plane Swing set a few more degrees upright.
@planeswinggolf
@planeswinggolf 7 ай бұрын
Hi Dougie, Yes. Good observation. The setting is in most cases through the biceps, which equates to the upper sternum. However, PlaneSWING's versatility is such that you can set it flatter or more upright depending on your swing type. For example, Bryson sets his PlaneSWING pretty much through the top of the shoulders, whereas Zach Johnson or Matt Kuchar would set it flatter. In the case of Paul in this video he's tracking a steeper plane and shallowing. If you haven't seen the Mark Hensby video on this channel, it's worth a watch. Mark, like many PlaneSWING owners, uses PlaneSWING to exaggerate a desired movement. Tony

Great product, literally lowered my handicap by 4 strokes. I'm hitting straighter drives and more consistent irons, still need to work on my short game, lol. I put in 20 actual minutes a day (2 mins 10 sessions), then I hit a small bucket of balls working on my pace. One of the best parts of the plane swing is it helps with the position of my hands during my follow through. I would suggest recording your swing on the plane swing to ensure your backswing is "on plane". Tony great product, if I can get to mid single digit handicap I'll owe you my life, lol.

Well said! Exactly, this LIV-targeting is just purely political instigated by the PGA Tour who wants to protect its MONOPOLY & is technically a NON-PROFIT organization. Its a hypocrisy but a very successful media campaign by the PGA Tour & its Liberal media friends. Also, how about human-rights abuser QATAR (Asians work there as slaves) & it hosting FIFA world cup & its state media organization Al-Jazeera which spreads lies.

Tony, you have covered the key points in this important discussion very nicely. Your unbiased questions are more than fair and we must all look in the mirror. Why should golfers be expected to make a stand where their governments have not. I can't see the upside for the PGA Tour. They should stand on their own merit...for the good of the game!

Glad you put this out and I believe that golf needs a refresh as it's become a little stale, great way to get young people looking at golf in a different way, but some don't like change. These players are independent and should be able to play where they choose and they all did the right thing and were refused releases. We all know the money has a lot to do with it, but it will be interesting to see how the other associations deal with it and glad the USGA stood up. If Augusta bans a previous winner, lawsuits will fly which is not good for the game.

Couldn't agree more, Tony, heaping these moral obligations on the players seems a bit off considering the lack of response to other Saudi backed endeavors. I'm also with those that deplore human rights violators and want players to draw their respective lines in the sand. I'm stuck on the idea though, that that line should be drawn for 1 foreign journalist when 3000 American citizens going about their day were slaughtered by Saudi Nationals 20 years ago. Seems a bit hypocritical, no? Our government not only attacked Iraq in response to a Saudi led event but never stopped doing business with them. I really feel that the elephant in the room is the general dislike of Greg Norman and those touting the 'Saudis are terrible' line are hiding behind it. He does come across as a very toxic individual and his stated agenda with LIV to basically destroy the PGA tour was ill advised at best and a true reflection of a soulless, bitter little man at worst.

Saying “we follow our government” seems a bit of a weak response. If you don’t agree with something you have to stand up for what you believe in not just think “well they didn’t do anything, why should I?” The bottom line seems to be “the money is enough to ignore everything else” for the players; which I understand and I don’t think many could turn it down.
@planeswinggolf
@planeswinggolf Жыл бұрын
I understand but the point I’m making is that many, like that journalist, are using the moral argument to challenge players on their decision. Given that no other sport or government seems concerned enough to impose sanctions, why should golfers be expected to sanction themselves?

In the context of the criticism being levelled at some of the players, everything. The point being made is people can't place the responsibility to take a stand against the Saudi regime, the murder of Jamal Khoshoggi and their human rights record on the shoulders of professional golfers, when their governments (and other elite sports organisations) haven't. Furthermore, as mentioned, the issue is not necessarily the Saudis; it's the PGA Tour's fear of losing control of the players and as a consequence their business. Whilst it may be "not for profit" it's still exceedingly lucrative for the administrators.
@irmadupr

United States does most of their business with China and they are in my opinion worse than the Saudi's so all this moral stuff is just bogus. A player being offered 100 million dollars guaranteed to play golf would be stupid not to take it. You could set up your children and their children for life with that money. Saudis have an unlimited cash flow for now so it's hard to compete with their purses for these tournaments but in the end I think it might fizzle out anyway.

The level of resistance between the power stick and the hoop seems to be too much. It literally drags. Is it normal to have so much resistance?
@planeswinggolf
@planeswinggolf 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom, Thanks for the question. The success of PlaneSWING is due to how it engages the bigger muscles and helps train sequencing of the body and arms. The natural resistance created by the PowerSLIDER enables this. If the PowerSLIDER moved too freely (or if it rolled), there would be a tendency to over-rotate the forearms from address. This would lead to getting the club too far on the inside and a need for a compensatory movement to correct the path to avoid coming over-the-top or getting trapped on the inside. The PowerSLIDER is specifically designed to encourage the bigger muscles to get involved. To aid sequencing in takeaway and transition and to deliver a dynamic position at impact. We have sold over 500 PowerSLIDER to other swing circle owners that have decided not to use their clubs or roller bars. I called you earlier and left a message. I look forward to speaking. Cheers, Tony (Clark), Owner & Coach.

Hi Todd, Thanks for your comment. I'll try to explain how PlaneSWING works. Firstly this was a raw beginner. She hit the ball at the first attempt after experiencing PlayNSWING. I'm not sure you could take a child for a 2 minute ride in a car and then expect them to drive in a straight line on their own. But this is effectively what she did. Which is incredible in anyone's book. So I think you're being a little harsh both on the child and the PlaneSWING concept. But seriously; what it gave her was a feeling for the golf swing, once shown a few fundamentals and then having the PlaneSWING set correctly I like to allow a beginner, child or adult, to swing relatively freely to gain a feel for how the swing should feel. Prior to this having not been in PlaneSWING, she had no real understanding of how she was to do what she was expected to do, which is to hit the ball. Once inside PlaneSWING the light bulb goes on and she immediately had an appreciation of the movement of the body and the club. Quite a leap I think you'd agree. Regular use will begin to ingrain a motion, closer to plane. I have several examples where juniors have been weened on PlayNSWING and continued with the adult PlaneSWING as they've grown. These are on this channel.Please take a look. Their swings are impressive and up there with Tour Players. And of course PlaneSWING is used literally by Beginners to Major Winners and leading coaches in over 80 countries; so its performance is proven many times over with golfers of all levels. Please take a look at our independent, unsolicited reviews at planeswing.com/reviews. I'm always happy to chat. 800-336-3033. Kind regards, Tony
