I have a photo of him from my seat at this show. He was wearing a different sweater. Lol.

I attended this show with my wife and remember it as one of the most magical nights of music I have ever witnessed. The Hall, and the way Jeff's voice filled the room was indescribable. I've only ever seen a few low quality clips available online. The fact this night was preserved in this way fills my heart with joy. Thank you so much!

was at this concert and it was epic I attended with my ex girlfriend / soon to be ex girlfriend. the concert was amazing I was just annoyed that I never saw the concert with my old friends who got me into his music and I missed out on the gig in Leeds with them there. years on now that friend is in Canada with a new life i hope she looks back at memories of listening to records together the same way i do.

FYI, the picture used for this video is not Lounge Ax. Lounge Ax was a much more intimate, historic, indie rock bar.

Thanks for the upload! I was wondering recently if you have any plans on uploading any Jeff Mangum interviews beyond the XFM and Peter Curran ones, that is... if there are any. I know he was interviewed for blogs and newspapers a few times, but I always hoped there'd be more audio stuff than just the two I mentioned
@NeutralMilkHotelArchive5 ай бұрын
As far I know, no such audio exists. Attempts/invitations to generate new ones have been avoided/rejected.

re: Jeff Mangum's comments before the 2nd encore/Ferris Wheel: Jeff left the stage after Two Headed Boy, the house lights came on, and the ushers began ushing, but the majority of the crowd refused to leave, instead cheering, clapping, and banging on the seats incessantly. Jeff finally came out and played the first and only legit "encore" I've ever witnessed. Hands down the best show I've seen in my 30 years of concert-going.
@brettjohnson61812 ай бұрын
Damn right, you would have had to arrest me to get me out of that seat! It felt like everyone knew he was coming back. It wasn't time for the night to end, just yet.

Was “carnival” another name for untitled?
@NeutralMilkHotelArchive7 ай бұрын
Yes. Many of the track titles on the setlists prepared by Jeff prior to shows contain pithy, shortened versions of the album names, variances also occur. There doesn't appear to be much preciousness for the matter on Jeff's part. Carnival 'was [also] renamed "The Penny Arcade In California" mid-tour when the band stopped at an actual penny arcade in California where Jeff and Scott claim they saw someone who looked exactly like Anne Frank.'
