Once you change everything over, how and where do you install sounds onto drive? Do they have to be a certain format?

The lack of speed-type pitch is fatal for me. Well, not completely, as I have only a 303...but I have to use a custom effect on a Korg NTS-1 to pitch as I sample. But sampling in and then pitching is fundamental to my workflow in an ideal world.

Here is my question: How does one go about getting the 1.72 OS boot sector from the Floppy disk to a USB Flash Drive
@_sugr.skull_8 ай бұрын
I’m not sure. I’ve never had an MPC that needs a boot disk, but Im guessing you’d need to find a file online and put it on the flash drive.

Hello bro, You're right, floppy drives are no longer up to date and annoying, but the emulator doesn't seem to be the ideal solution either. A CF card would be perfect but difficult to implement with the 2000 classic. With the XL it is very easy to install a CF card reader. Unfortunately, these are difficult to find and expensive. That's why I have a scsi drive in my 2000 Classic (currently the best solution for me) My 2000xl already had a CF card installed at the factory
@_sugr.skull_9 ай бұрын
Honestly, I agree. Since this video I got an 2000XL with the SD card reader installed and it’s literally perfect!! I’ve actually been meaning to do a video on it.

Why didn’t you just use the Subsonic effect? That’s what you’re looking for.

Subsonic is a cool effect, but I hadn’t really messed around with it at the time. Plus this give a more “lofi” sound in my opinion.

Yes! I've been doing this for quite a long time, so happy to see someone getting this idea out there. It has become probably the most used effect for me when I'm making something on the SX

Ok thank you for answering! one more thing, when boosting those lows twice like that. Are the chances for low frequencey muddiness much higher? especially in context with the other low frequency instruments, like bass and sometimes chords etc? @@_sugr.skull_
@_sugr.skull_ Жыл бұрын
@grunntalll no problem :) ya, there’s often a fair bit of muddiness in these tracks, but in my opinion all the muddy frequencies can be a nice character in this style of music…and if it’s too much you can also fix it in your daw with a precise EQ cut.
