One of the few wave-ski videos showing real surfing. One great manoeuvre naturally flowing into another great manoeuvre. Instead of forcing an aerial and losing the wave every time. There is hope after all.

It has all been downhill since "Gidget ", after 50 years of surfing I can't think of a single good thing Pro Surfing has done, nice for them, but 99% of surfers are not involved, and what a joke the Olympics, at the time it was running the Gold Coast was epic. The main problem is getting Wakeskis, 50 years ago I could walk into at least 8 shops and buy a board off the rack, there is nowhere currently, never had a custom anything, and mates that did, the boards are a standing joke 40 years on, one shaper even refusing to put his name or logo on the board.

Why do you have background music and not the pure sound of the surf to listen to?

Very cool men. I am glad to have a chance to catch up with the sport. Roger Adams took me under his wing for the first US comp. From there, I landed in NSW for a year and joined the Ski Pigs of Newcastle with Mick Reynolds as my host. Then to Bali for the comp there and as the first heat in the water, I was well over my head at Ulu in big conditions. Having hung with Christo in the day and knowing Rees since he first beat Christo at World Cup Huntington. I am loving to here this conversation. Stoked to see where I can attend one more World's. I am thinking about what can happen in that regard. Maybe you can find the right trip to get Xaver back on one more Waveski film. Well done, guys!
