Can you use the same SID (as your main wireless router) in repeater mode on the Asus N300? Then you will only see the same SID and the device will automatically connect to the strongest signal (ASUS N300 or main wireless router) seamlessly as you move around your property. Or will this create problems?

Works great with iPhone too! I use both iPhone & Android. On my iPhone there is a specific CooDisk app to download. The CooDisk app dashboard shows split screen style to choose to look at files on the device or on the drive. Thank you for this video. I was just trying to download photos from my Android but could not find an Android CooDisk app. I forgot that “USB storage added” should pop up. Like almost everything “i” makes things difficult when interacting with other formats. (No bashing. They both have advantages and disadvantages.) Thank you for this video. You undoubtedly have saved me loads of unnecessary stress.

An obsolete video. In 2024 Using a dedicated phone or tablet as a car GPS that isn't permanently installed inside the dashboard makes little sense and increases the risk of a car break-in. Rooting isn't needed. An automated task manager app isn't needed. Computer skills aren't needed. Any Android phone that has a GPS chipset can act as a car GPS receiver. Most Android phones made in the past 5 years have GPS capability. Fewer tablets do. If you can download and use Google Maps, the same phone you use every day will work fine. It only needs a car mount and power connection for extended use. If the device doesn't have a paid cell connection or removable storage, seldom used apps MAY need to be removed. This is only necessary to make space for storing maps offline, which are essential for starting a phone and beginning a new route when wi-fi isn't available. Wi-fi and automatic updates should be disabled should be disabled when traveling between secure networks. Google offline maps works excellently when driving in a predetermined area within a 30 day interval (and it has the best maps available, bar none) and Navmii USA works well for the entire US without updates if maps are moved to an extsd card. With Google Maps, roughly 500 MB storage is required for one regional detail map of an area the size of NE Illinois including Chicago, Springfield and Rockford, and larger areas or less storage when there are fewer major metropolitan cities with the map. Google Maps can be configured to use removable, secondary storage for offline maps. Smaller rectangular maps containing segments of a mapped route take less space than regional maps.
