Where do I buy that? Would love to try it please!
@Falling-in-clay29 күн бұрын
I bought at @a3dprintingfarm **I did few more times practicing after I bought this tool. This tool needs kinda of advanced practicing and skills ☺️😉. When you make screw with this tool, clay dryness stage needs little bit more dryer than leather hard dryness. Also when you go down to make screw, no pressure, very slowly, make sure no shaking!go down exactly 90 degree, gently go down to make screw ☺️
OMG....you are terrific. You 😅make it look so easy when it really is not😅❤!

@Falling-in-clay2 ай бұрын
Yes😊 .let it dry, bisque and glaze firing just like regular lidded and jar. Make sure no glaze between cap screws and bottle screws part😉😊

This is super cool! At that it works so well. But I don’t think it is air tight or water tight for anyone wondering. Plastic bottle caps are actually water tight because of the plastic lip on the inside and the screwing forces this lip downwards onto the bottle neck.
@Falling-in-clay2 ай бұрын
Yes, it's not perfect for air or water tight.I trying the silicone ring but hard to buy right size.😉🙌😊

Also called a greedy cup or Pythagorus cup, it is used to stop someone from pouring too much. I'm pretty sure covering the hole on the bottom would defeat this purpose.

I bought the 3D screw making tools from Jon Van Eck's son "Hunter" 😊 in Etsy Jon is a professional teacher at artcenter. He is one who showed me this screw cap and sharing his technique first to me. And his son hunter made 3D screw cap making tools. Big thanks to Jon!!! **you need a practicing and finding out right timing for making screw !! Hi Daria. I gave your beautiful vase a try. It looked pretty good. However, it did explode when fired.😢 Did you make a bottom base, or just have the slab all in one as the base and body? Thank you for advising 🎉❤
@Falling-in-clay3 ай бұрын
I thrown the small triangle for bottom and and slab for body..also, need a hole between bottom part and body part ☺️.I am very sorry to hear that was explode 🫣..😭

One indicator of an artists talents is their ability to work with a mistake. I hope this is a skill your students also learn for their entire lifetime, even when they aren't working with clay
