im shocked about the amount of people praising this. ceaser surviving was probably the quickest way ive ever seen a story get ruined. it would have had so much emotional impact if she was actually dead, but they ruined it last moment. im tearing up, but for all the wrong reasons

Ngl the story is still good, it’s just this one thing that ruins the end of it. If it were me writing this story tho I would let Ceaser die and Lucy, Lighter, and Burnice will struggle with her gone, but soon realizes her spirit and love for them lives on in the sons of calydon.

It would be a beautiful end to her character... but it would go against the themes of ZZZ, specifically "Finding the Truth" and "Trust". Finding out the truth underlies every single plotline in this game, and a lot of the way people survive is by trusting each other. Zhu Yuan and Qingyi end up having to trust the Proxies in order to make it out of the Hollow, and they have to trust that those two will not arrest them. By having Caesar fall into the fire, she's trusting in a lot of things. She doesn't expect to make it out, and has to trust that the others will be able to carry on without her. She trusts that this is the right move. We could change quite a few things around to play into the Trust theme, and have Caesar not make it out. Show earlier, and give more signs, that Lucy has the chops to run the Sons, and you make the payoff to that plotline that Caesar hands over command to Lucy before she jumps. But you would lose the Truth thread, because the legend turns out to be false. In order to fix this, we'd have to tear out a good chunk of that plotline, or modify it, and that would knock out one of the pillars of the Chapter. Maybe she should have lost her remaining hand, because she was basically holding that grenade when it went off, but otherwise I'm okay with this.

almost. they were so close to creating something awesome. but ceaser surviving ruined everything. all the emotions just gone. and dont get me wrong, i liked ceaser, and thats exactly why it would have been so emotional if they actually killed her off.

Best boss so far in the game. We have seen Silver of red fang gang get corrupted to become dullahan at the start, but here we get to see the full process and again the animation style proves to be so fucking versatile. Pompey was AMAZING ! Bro was poisoned many times with ether and exposed to the hollow but he STILL resisted 🗿🗿🗿

Although the transformation scene looked cool it was painful watching the transformation to such a good guy like Pompey, I hope Lucius gets what he deserves in future updates.

I was so angry at Lucius for this. It was horrible, and he deserves to be fed to Ethereals for doing that to Pompey and screwing everyone over. That being said, Pompey did end up being probably the most epic looking Ethereal boss, close to the Ballet Twins, imo.
