Second day of 2025 and i gotta say,i graduated high school in 08,this was one of many bands that ive introduced my son to.a strapping young lad of 15 years(see what i did there,strapping young lad?)but its not the part where i introduce him to some band,its when he shows up to show me shit like this and i tell him "dude,i fucking LOVE this band!",all i did was point the way and he got there on his lonesome.the metal scene,am i right ?

Idk why I decided on City & Colour for my first songs of 2025 but here we are. No regrets. How the heck is this already 16 years old? Now I FEEL old 😆 Edit to add: I generally hate the comments regarding what year it is because obviously it doesn't matter, we all just haven't stopped listening to good music lol. This seems like a fairly obscure song so wanted to see if I was alone so far 😆🤷🏼♀️

This band is my favorite “great lost pop band” now that XTC is officially retired. There’s no band that aligns to my particular musical tastes more than this band. And it’s so strange because why? I listen to a lot of great music - why would this tragically short lived dream pop band so fascinate me? I think the music is cathartic and gives space to allow the listener to work through their own thoughts and emotions.

Why does This release have such bad production compared to their last three albums at this point. Going from LINAWR the going into this.. I can tell the songs are catchy it's just that the guitars getting lost in the mix really take away from the full potential of this album

I once listened to this for 3 days solid. I was going through a seperation with my then wife at the time ...this one track track kept me sane. It has been tough to come back to hear it because of that time, I have tried numerous times but tonight is the first time in 8 years I have listened to it with joy in my heart.
