First of all, I LOVE your touch and tone. This is a really nice blend of sounds and dynamics. Your use of space made this solo so powerful. Secondly, I LOVE your drums and I’m grateful to have played on that set.

I first heard of Cary DeNigris in the January 1991 issue of Guitar Player magazine; they had done an article on 5 new faces in "fusion" guitar. The other 4...? Wayne Krantz, John Herington, Jimi Tunnel, and Mitch Watkins. DeNigris played with Ronald Shannon Jackson's Decoding Society... a really progressive, contemporary group with a high energy and freedom of expression. Also played with Chico Hamilton, as many other great guitar players did. Really good to hear him in this newer setting.
