It looks like a bomb went off. Well done with the recording

I would not have driven into that hail core. And if caught in one I would slow the heck down. I understand you took a calculated risk and were caught, no worries there.

It's a giant mushroom! It's also high-based, so that means it developed over higher terrain and since it's very isolated, the air at cloud level is either very very dry and/or the cold jet stream was very intense. Ground temperatures at the time is not likely to have hit 100F+; 70s or 80s is likely to have helped initiate this lonely storm.

This time lapse is awesome! I once was out riding my bike alone in the middle of a field when a supercell came out of nowhere. I had to peddle as fast as I could to stay out of the rain, but I ended up getting caught in the most violent part of the storm. It was a really scary experience, but, looking back, it was also very exhilarating! This video reminded me of it so thanks for posting. Here are a couple of links to videos I took of the supercell I got caught in in case you"re interested... kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYLVkGx9rMhpaqc kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYHLh5mjiM97qq8

Oh....my....god!!! This is possibly the best not only driving position in SC, but the extreme instability involved in this A-Bomb supercell is unreal!!! 12/10 👌🏼😍 Miles City Airport Montana. Plenty of moisture that day!!

hm know? timelapse increases the speed of the video so it is not necessarily the speed of the car and the streets are rural no problem in case an accident the problem is the driver kkkkkk
