This guy does dreadful demos. He tries to show off his compositions, which some people might like, but his job in a demo is to show off the guitar. I have no idea what this guitar is like after hearing this.

RV-50’s would have been a better matching pickup with Tweed Deluxe amp circuits. I’m surprised Allen switched to RV-60 pups. I loved his tone with the RV-50’s.

These look gorgeous AND delicious. I once had the opportunity to get this amp or a JMI model similar to it that I can’t quite recall. Ended up going with a Sound City Studio 20, which I just reviewed on my channel. I’m still thinking about this one and won’t hesitate when the time is right. UK amps rock!

I know this is an old video and that amp's long gone from inventory. Simply for the sake of education, this is not a 5F6 circuit as the video title states. The 5F6 circuit is 1957 only. The 1958-1960 models, like this one, use the 5F6A circuit. Although the circuit changed slightly, the serial number sequence did not. That is, the 5F6 and 5F6A circuits share the same serial number sequence. I own 1957 5F6 serial number BM00027, Production 1.

Too much talking, not enough playing. And what playing there is here can hardly be called musical. This “review” doesn’t encourage me to shell out the huge sums of money for this. Also, the recording quality is very poor; the treble sounds very tinny - again, hardly justification for the $3k+ price tag
