This is beautiful. I was coached in a masterclass at RNCM by Hugues Cuénod who told me I was singing it too beautifully. It was the outpouring of a poor fisherman. I was baffled. How else do you try to sing chansons by Fauré or anybody else but beautifully?

Beautiful song, elegant accompaniment, and perfectly paired singers. What a delight! Am I correct that they are singing in Spanish? And this was performed in Poland, thus the Polish subtitles? I understand that this was part of a Viardot recital, but it would be nice to have the title include the full name of the composer and the description give the names of the singers. Who are these young ladies?

Hi Patrice, thank you for your comments. Anna Gillingham soprano and Anna Huntley mezzo. It was hard to format the subtitles for each song at the time but if you track more materials you'll find the names of all people involved in the project. The clip you saw is a part of 28 songs. I see. We had many composers in the recital and Pauline’s name is in the title of the whole programme. Just trying to avoid tautology.
