I think your clutch is connected to the tire valve 😂

You have a leak in your bleeder vacuum line. That's why you got so many fake air bubbles. Pull the rubber connection out more often. I believe you got the air out, but everyone is laughing at the amount of air you think you got out.

Still air coming out, 6 years later….

There will never be that much air in the clutch hydraulics. Your bleed nipple is not fully tight. Not too loose to lose fluids but not tight enough to take air in. When you create reverse pressure the air gets sucked in through the nipple and you feel you have air in the system. Just do a normal 2 person bleed.

Applying a vacuum to the top of the master cylinder will only remove small amounts of air near the top end of the system. You can spend an hour doing it and still have a soft clutch pedal. There is an air bleed hole in the clutch release assembly which is closed by the long hexagonal bolt/bleed screw seen at 0:10 in the video. Crawl under the car; the bleed screw will be sticking out of the side access port in the bell housing; that is the reason for its length. Unscrew that bleed screw...7/16-inch socket on swivel joint...enough to allow fluid to escape for a minute and pump the clutch pedal a few times without letting the fluid in the master cylinder reservoir drop below the outlet hole. You might see air bubbles...or not. Tighten up the bleed screw. Check clutch pedal action. Repeat, if necessary. Done !! The short fitting in the picture is the fluid inlet port from the master cylinder...which should have a braided steel fluid line attached to it. Easy to find if you just jack up the left side of the front end of the vehicle. Don't forget to use a jack stand for safety.

Obviously there are better ways, but this method will actually work on some systems, but only if you draw fairly low vacuum, keep the reservoir level well above the outlet port, and regularly remove the vacuum fitting from the reservoir outlet port, to allow fluid to be sucked down into the slave cylinder. On most systems, the slave and master cylinder seals are only capable of sealing under pressure, and only seal to a certain extent under fairly low vacuum. What we're more than likely seeing here is outside air being sucked in the rear of the master cylinder, or in past the slave cylinder seals. Sure, the hose fittings could've also been allowing some air to come in too, but you can normally see the bubbles rising from between the fitting and hose rather than up through the middle. What's far less likely, as some 'scientists' in these comments have speculated, is the fluid boiling under vacuum, which is of course possible with many fluids, but only in a fully sealed vacuum situation. However, given the design of pretty much all hydraulic clutch and brake systems, this is impossible, given the seals will allow air to get in way before you'll ever be able to pull enough vacuum to boil the fluid.🤣👍

Looks like a loose fitting on the slave side. That’s how all those bubbles are getting in. It’ll feel better by driving because you’re basically pumping the air from a leak. Keep an eye on that clutch fluid level👍

I'm not so sure those bubbles are coming out of your system. Could just be the connections in your vacuum pump leaking
@juhdah21462 жыл бұрын
You should bleed the slave cylinder instead. With that much air your clutch would not have worked. What appears to be “air” is not air, it is because the diameter hole of the elbow adapter is smaller than your 3/8” line.

Ok surely he's bullshitting everyone isn't he? I mean there's no way he really thinks that he pulled that amount of air from a clutch system that he said was working fine? I'm not calling him dumb I'm just saying he's clearly not a mechanically minded person and fluid dynamics neither am I because now I'm thinking I miss used the words but anyway delete this video before some one believes it's the way it's done and tries it and ends up costing them a huge mechanic bill!
