I hope to give you an idea of who I am quickly...I'll try...33 y.o black male. Wife 2 kids, veteran 8 yrs Army, live in central Texas...not Democrat nor Republican...just wanting to live my life and better my children's future...I say all of that to truly ask you...........: Do you truly want to? It's not whether ppl care (Cause ppls feelings can be fickle), it's more of, do you feel you have things to live for? Whether you have an immediate support/family system, they may not be the reason you have to keep living. You have to find the thing that's "you." Hobby, something that you know of that's positive (and you know of some. There's plenty) and go live your life off of that. That hobby, that interest will/can pay for your lifestyle. It's rare but you probably aren't the only one to do it either. There are other people. To engage with. To talk to. If you have no interest, no longing to do "something," then it sounds as though you may want to talk to a therapist respectfully...Humans aren't hard to engage, but more so remembering the cues of habit we exert, and equally expect. Smiling (if you have something to smile about...your alive, that can be one of the many reasons), looking someone in the eyes when speaking, yes ma'am, no sir...(southern habbit sorry)...Examples of things you can do to become more engaged with others. To help form better bonds, better relationships. Not just so you can have people that you want to "Care" but doing something that cares for others. Lastly there are many who are much less fortunate. No matter how low you are, there are others who are worse. Care for someone and the karma will recognize the energy. Blessings

I see you. Big Dirty sees you. Care is a relative term, and I think you’d be surprised how many people out there want to support, understand, and prove just how important you are to them.

This is all great advice so long as the person you have beef with isn't a narcissist. Did all this with my abusive narcissist mother before i went full no contact, and im still just as resentful as i would be if i didn't try to do any of that.

Great podcast. I'll admit, I have always been in the "go to work camp" probably out of pure jealousy since I can't work from home but you raised very good points. I had a conversation with a family member last week about this since our government (Canada) is forcing federal employees back to the office. I've moved my opinion to "let the employers decided camp" which will allow the market to figure it out. Like you said "Nobody wants to work anymore, or maybe they don't want to work for you!" The more push for hybrid work will force employers to change their tune if they want to survive.

Thank you so much! This is a tough topic for people to discuss because everyone is valid in their opinions, and to oppose is to reject a human. That's why I'm also in the camp of let humans be humans, and let them decide for themselves.Obviously there are so many careers with exceptions, but as the statistics are starting to show, most people will equally-perform/over-perform when they can work on their own terms, compared to traditional employment. Thanks for listening! Different topics every week!
