For those who were confused like me, the red connector only comes out about 1/20th of an inch. Then you push in the small brown clip and red together and gently but firmly pull down.

I just used this on a 2024 Camaro convertible. It does work, but you can't pull the upper console out like that, it seems the whole upper trim needs to be removed and there may be screws under tabs. I just didn't remove it and slid the USB adapter under that trim from the front. I also had to remove slightly the pillar going down, I saw no other way. Most of everything else is the same during install.

Can I know where to take the harness please?

Trying to use a ZL1 8 pin slot connector headlight in a 2019 LT that has a 12 pin slot connector on its headlight, do I just use the whole 2018 headlight harness?

I just installed the Gen5DIY harness in my 2024 Silverado HD. I used the video here to give me insight about removing the plastic housing covering the wiring and electronics. Things are not much different from the earlier years. Everything connected properly and the radar detector works!

Thanks for posting this. I have a 2017 RS convertible and I had LEDs in my lights. Well the driver side has been flickering for a couple weeks when it was colder and yesterday it went out completely. Come to find out when putting the stock bulb back in it's blowing fuses. It blew the bulb also. As soon as I plug the light in and a fresh 20A ATR I hit the switch and pop. It blows the fuse. Which is really bizarre because I have not had any particular reason for this to happen. It'll pop the fuse even without a light in. As I have blown 4 fuses trying to figure this out. I don't know where to start or what is wrong but I fear I am going to end up pulling the bumper to replace the entire headlight. 🤬 I'll be going by this video. Thanks again.

Suggest anyone with a car battery older than 2 years do a load check on it. I have had to replace two batteries thus far on my 2011 SS. I just recently put a Optima Red Top in my car and it helped tremendously. I am running a 400watt amp so that also put an extra load on the car. I will add the "0" gauge ground strap and see if the hard crank is completely cured which I suspect it will be. On another note, I have checked some of these "High Performance" starters that are actually made in China and the windings are of aluminum vs. copper. The darn aluminum degrades and melts down under heat. Pays to investigate the starter quality.

I know everyone has to be looking for this comment because they didn’t show where the T harness connects to the light harness , pull out the connector from the driver side bed light and plug it into the female side of the suppliy T harness and the removed connector to the male side of the harness and do the rest as shown in this video and on the website once I figured this out it was a 10 minute install works awesome glad I did it there was no place to leave a review so I figured it would work here

Pretty sweet. But 100 bucks for a couple of wires is pretty steep. Costs more than the camera.
