Im just commenting for the algorithm. Yall need to hit the algorithm HARD AF. lol. People need this. I have been drilling the concepts from each video with a buddy once a week. I have wrestling background but this is seriously upping my ground game and he has no martial experience and is already learning so much! This is great.

Not tapping to submissions that can actually leave you injured is so stupid. I don't care if you're in competition or not, it will always be a dumb idea. Its insane how many guys are fine with giving up a joint just for an extra couple minutes on the matt. Never made sense to me!

hey thanks again for the video, I am very new to bjj but I do understand how important the fundamentals are for the art so I am so lucky to have found your course. I still didn't fully understand somethings of what you said( hence Ill rewatch the video) but what I think I got is that the components of alignment are quite inter-related and that if one of the components are compromised. the rest will follow suite which is interesting almost like a house of cards. The best analogy I could come up with.

Thanks guys. In my academy they don't spend much time explaining the conecepts behind why we do certain movements so finding these videos very helpful.

Gold Mine. I probably commented the same comment on the previous videos LOL. As a blue looking on how to get to purple, the entire concept of having "repeatable and reliable" ways of controlling the opponent is so important. Thank you for spelling it out so well and showing it as well. Can't tell you how much knowledge this video has added to my Jiu Jitsu practice.

Man this video was helpful my Brazilian jiu-jitsu place in Florida didn't explain it good enough me doing Gracie bradenton jiu-jitsu down in Florida now I'm at a better jiu-jitsu place in Ohio with better coaches teaching more effective new school jiu-jitsu in Ohio vs old school ineffective jiu-jitsu in Florida.

I had a white belt in my gym do this one me and pop a rib. He wasn’t shown this submission in our gym, and I won’t be rolling with him again. Anyway, I didn’t even realize he was applying a submission until my rib popped. I just assumed he was squeezing the closed guard. Well, two weeks later and still waiting to get back to rolling. Now back to you, BJJ Concepts!

I’m a black belt in Taekwondo and I have been observing something really interesting regarding each student’s proficiency across any martial art (and skill, for that matter). Everything always returns to the basics. I have had so many fellow students get caught up in the weeds of advanced technique right away and miss the foundations, and it shows! Their form is incredibly rough and therefore compromises their ability to do advanced technique. It might not be flashy, but the mastery basic principles is always what makes a better student rather than the flashy stuff.
