i think one great improvement on this version is the "you don't die" and VP tokens. although the games were quick enough before, so waiting after death wasn't that bad, this new way to play makes it so your hand/combos don't feel wasted or you're not just playing 1 card when low on health also it doesn't have the "gimmicky" mechanics like the STD tokens or HS rank board, so things should move a little faster. as for direct balance of cards vs this or other version, i've not compared them enough to say for sure.

Taking into mind the price, are the individual packages (combos of 2 characters) worth it?

usually about $20-25 gets you 2 minis. but keep in mind that each "dark batman" is both a survivor and an abomination. so that's kind of like 4 characters per box. Pros - more survivors and abominations to use Pro - if you get DCeased (the DC zombicide) there are card for them to be used in that version as well (from KS or PNP) Pro - cool batman minis Cons - pretty much the opposite of those. if you have alot of zombicide, more survivors aren't really going to be a selling point. if you don't plan to get DCeased, than that point is invalid and if you don't really like Batman but are just trying to get more Zomibcide stuff, there are plenty of other sets out there - The Boys, Ghostbuster, TMNT, Supernatual or all the White Death stuff coming out. in the end, the are a little expensive for the price, but if you really like the theme (batman), just want more Zombicide at a cheaper price compared to other IP sets or old Kickstarter OR you need to have everything, you can justify the little up-price.

Good points 👍 my Gotham City Outbreak package should come in today (Dceased core appears pricy to be my entry point) but I saw these, seem cool, and there's a store that has them discounted up to tomorrow so this is much timely for me. Here in Mexico they are usually more expensive and at this offer price they're at about 25 USD, so I think I'll bite the budget bullet and roll with it.

Amazing vid, until recently I hadn't realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's a relief! Thank you for this video. It's the first I've found dedicated to the extra "packs." I'm very glad to finally know the rules for 7+ players. What disappointed me from CMON was that both of these reviewed packs weren't labeled as KS exclusives. However, they aren't available yet in any way (except for the secondary market, which has improbable overseas shipping costs).

Watching completed. Very detailed analysis and comprehensive comparison. Good work! Personally, I regularly mix the standees from the two boxes when playing (however, without exceeding the 30/10/10 subdivision) in order to have different "poses" for walkers, runners, and brutes. Then, sometimes I set up a team picking from MZHR and DCdGCO with very good results and combos: Spidey and Ivy would go for a heavy controller team!

The minion monsters (bats, puppies, skeletons, and slime) can all be played as their monster as well as them being controlled by their overlord (vampire, werewolf, reaper, and king slime). In fact, it's generally a very good idea as you get far more use of the minions when controlled on their own as well as being able to take orders from their overlord.

Choose wisely refers to cards with the '/' symbol, so that coffee potion lets you keep any of the 3 cards you draw with that symbol, i.e., cards with 2 or more options.

I was confused as to why all these main deck cards had negative VPs... and then I actually read what they do. WOW, a lot of these main deck cards are powerful. Imagine using that Captain Thunder to drop the last Nemesis card, then pass him, a -3VP card, to an opponent after the turn wraps and it's time to count up your score 😂

any expansion will refresh the game to some extent. There will be new cards and possible new game mechanics. But if you've grown tired/sick of the game, 1 expansion isn't gonna change it enough to make you love it.

@@eduardoe007 You can mix them if you really want but each has their own mechanics that would be useless in regular game. Rivals - Confrontations effect only trigger when choosing to attack the other player. Since there is no "confrontation" phase in regular version, these part of the card would be ignore. making some of them more expensive for less effects. Rebirth - uses a board game style gameplay. cards have "move" and "range" effect. again useless in regular since that's not a thing. so well both games can be used - share the same basics rules/gameplay - alot of the cards will have effects that don't trigger, thus making them cost more for less stuff. you could always make your own rules to integrate these game with regular, but no "official" rules exist. also worth noting. you could take card from Regular version and mix them into Rivals and Rebirth BUT the more add, the less you'll find the cards with "confrontaion" or "move/range" needed for that game mode. I did another video comparison version if visual would help, check that out.

Thank you very much for going through the Elite icons on number cards clearly (very helpful for our project to document all UNO editions)! Also, I should note a few things (I apologize if you already noticed any of this in the video, I may have missed it): - For the Player cards, it's actually the next player that draws the cards, not the user (this is clarified in the catalog descriptions that Mattel released) - You're definitely right in saying that there are more powerful or less powerful forms of cards (like a Draw 2 being outclassed by All Draw 2 or Draw 4), but some of them are a little different for Dynasty mode (you're limited on the amount of total symbols; this means that a triple Targeted Draw 1 may be worse than a regular Targeted Draw 3 depending on your deck because it takes up more symbol space) - If you're curious, there's a total of 62 different effects out of the 192 total Player cards (and the base foil/non-foil variants are the same), which means in reality if you wanted to collect every mechanically different card you'd only actually need 434 total cards (62 x 7 = 434)
