I wish one day I could travel to uk to see this kind of performance

OK then, you must keep on thinking about it in your mind's eye and put small measures into place to eventually make it happen!

What I hear in Zopp's intonations is your personality. Even with the possible resonance of the canterburry sound (but does that matter?) and obviously other influences, conscious or not, there's a texture that's all your own. That's something that becomes clear as we listen to you, and even more so when we hear you speak. The important thing is to make music that's in tune with your personality, because I'm convinced that it will always be more effective. I admit that it's not always easy when you've worshipped certain musicians from the 70s. It's a struggle with yourself, what a great programme ^^ ! You seem to be doing really well.

I really second that Mont Campbell thought, he made Egg's sound truly complete. I also really hope that you can get the song right, really respectin' the dedication to your vision of it. Also, if i may recommend some beloved canterbury (-ish?) artists of my own, for enjoyment and perhaps further inspiration: - Picchio Dal Pozzo, 70s-,from Italy, you might know them already. - Tatsu Akiba, modern artist, working really hard on the current canterbury-styled prog scene in Japan! Has some symphonic leanings, too... Also worth checking out is Aragorn/Snakes Alive/Stepps. A highly obscure series of bands from Australia, with the same core members, that existed over the 70s. Their sound got more canterbury-like as they progressed, but their whole story is very interesting! Thanks for this snippet too, all the best to you, and Zopp on!

Personally it's hard for me to believe, I had everything the soft machine put out in the 70s , I've been discovering the Canterbury seen Etc for over a year now. And for these musicians to have the head loss to be able to fit right in 50 years later is really cool because our minds for and totally different places back then and hard to reproduce now

Cómo se logra el sonido FUZZ con el Nord Stage?
@zoppmusic4 ай бұрын
Nord electro. i run it through a HIWATT amp and get the right vibrato setting, run it through a fuzz pedal too and BAM.

That keyboard sound is very 'Caravan' and the vocal too,.... in fact the whole tune seems to owe a lot to their sound.
@zoppmusic5 ай бұрын
To be honest, not really inspired by Caravan. I'm more of a Soft Machine and Zappa fan. But this tune has lots of elements in. Thanks for your comment!

@@zoppmusic Soft machine one of my favourite bands but really only the stuff with Robert on drums, Zappa also a favourite of mine. i am stuck in rural lincolnshire (one of the least progressive places in the world i think!) but this does mean i have encountered Robert and what a pleasure to speak with him ( and alfie). Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the update! Always a pleasure to support such a nice fellow and a brilliant musician/composer/artist. "Dominion" is arguably one of the best 2023 albums... not to say "the best", so congrats once again. Also, that's a very nice "Zappa moustache"... makes sense: Zopp was a Zappa pastiche at the beginning after all! ;)
