Not watched all so dunno the outcome, but we get lots of these - usually the egr has stuck. We used go do the absolute pita route of changing out the egr/egr cooler, blah blah - now we slacken it off enough to drown it in DPF cleaner, spray it full of decent penetrating oil & give it an Italian tune-up. Works on 9 out of 10 - the 1 it doesn't, we change the valve/cooler blah blah. Next commonest fault is the turbo actuator losing vacuum or sticking - dunno how many of those we see, a lot. Also across many makes, not just PSA. Beyond the usual sensor guff, we also see a good few where the ECU injector control chip has crapped the bed - which leads to lads chucking in new injectors, looking at harness faults forever etc etc - to no avail. The ecu needs go off for repair.

Not long had my timing chain done as it went while driving. Engine light keeps coming on ever since going into limp mode throwing codes about fuel sensors. Had them changed and same problem. Does this mean the chain wasn't lined up properly?

If you’re still having trouble take the black cover off the front of the egr and it will come out

Was that caused by the rocker cover gasket seal around the injector failing? I have heard of oil getting into the cylinder via the injector seal.

Hi I’ve got a 2016 1.5L 1 series and the sensor is misaligned (I’m told) as the car thinks I’m selecting reverse when in gear 1&2, gear 1 when actually in 3 and so on. Was this a similar problem?

sometimes my 1.3 2010 combo has sluggish power but rpm goes up faster then the speed. happened today. do you have common causes of this? also when i turn the engine off i get a single pop/thud noise that comes from the back of van

Проблему не решили, зато поменяли цепь. Проблема в форсунках-омывателях, где перестает работать клапан и масло стекает/вытекает из блока - нет давления и башмак не натягивает цепь. Сейчас найду видео - кину ссылку.

It’s out of a 3 series e90 . 1 series will be the same . Yes the gearbox is a heavy component so be sure to use a jack to support it when removing

@@igortanyarascovschi1225 yes a F31 will be very similar . If your replacing a manual gearbox it won’t need and programming or coding . There can be a service function to teach in neutral position sensor but that’s it .

Hi . Normally take 3 days to complete this job . Day 1 remove engine , Day 2 work on engine and replace required parts , Day 3 Put engine back in . I take on all kinds of work . When the car has broken down there isn’t many options . But I guess it comes down to individuals what jobs they feel confident to tackle . I find most garages avoid diagnostics and major engine rework .

No. They have to be the same index.
