Again, as I heard,"And as we came into the clear......" I couldn't hold back the tears. At 63, I ask myself will I know when the end is near. For me, there's no choice of favorites with these guys. They are one. And their songs hit hard, and beautiful.

Can’t believe I saw them in Milwaukee 3 days after this and arrived too late to see Mirador. I chose not to go too early because I really didn’t care to see Geese, but had no idea Jake and Chris would be performing before them. My loss! 😢

The song by Buffy has the same lyrics but the melody is different but it’s not an original, it’s a ballad from medieval times which has been recorded by many in different languages

I saw GVF with Ida Mae in Madison a few years ago. For the encore, Jake sang with Josh, Chris and Stephanie. He looked terrified, but I could tell he could sing, albeit different than Josh. I just always figured he was too shy to sing on his own. ALL the boys in GVF can sing and I would've loved to hear a 4-part a cappella piece from them, but seriously doubt that will ever happen. Can't say I'm a fan of Chris's voice all that much, but Jake's voice tempers it nicely. They seem to be very simpatico and I look forward to hearing more from this band.
