Fishing line doesn't work, netting doesn't work. I've tried both of these methods. These birds are smart and will figure out a way to get your fish. I've had osprey get fish from my pond that I put a baler twine grid system up that the holes are only 3x3. They can even fly under the grid that is two feet off the water. There's only one method to rid your pond of these birds but it's illegal.

This plant is a constant problem in my large pond system here in the sub-tropics. It completely covered water area and starved the water of oxygen, killing the fish and turtles. I've cleared the pond so many times yet somehow it comes back. This plant is worse than the terminator.
