First congratulations on the video! Now, some help if possible, I have a scenario similar to the one in your video: 1. Mikrotik Router 1. Freeradius With the local hostpot, from Mikrotik I can authenticate via FreeRadius smoothly, however, I need an external HostSpot application. I used your template, however, after logging in, the user is not released into Mikrotik. I tried solutions on the internet that led me to confusing solutions, such as using the FreeRadius API to authenticate the user and using the Mikrotik API. Is this necessary? Watching your video and analyzing your codes, I don't see anything like that!

It is normally done using time based quotas in RADIUS, but OpenNDS does not support RADIUS. For OpenNDS you can check out their timeouts and quotas: opennds.readthedocs.io/en/stable/config.html#set-volume-quotas

Probably it won't work on Omada cloud as the portal needs direct access to the controller which won't be there in Omada cloud

In 2 steps. First use a GET networksSummary request. Take the JSON body from that and send it in a PUT request with the updated SSID.

@@arrowtlg2646 you can send a dummy username password and configure your RADIUS to accept all credentials. You don't need to ask your user to enter credentials.

Most welcome. I haven't tested that, I've only worked with APs. But if it can be done via the web portal then it should be possible via API as well.

Hello! In your example, a user provides first name, last name and email on the web portal. But RADIUS service requires username & password. When are they created in your example? And how does Mikrotik get them to insert in its RADIUS request?

You need to setup a RADIUS server. You can setup FreeRADIUS on the same server which has the captive portal.

The UI is changed. For captive portal you should switch to old UI.

@@splashnetworksco Okay, I see. In this new version (v 7.4.162 (Windows) test), even changing to the old interface, we don't have the Guest Control tab, I didn't find it. But I was able to download a version (7.3.83) that is working. I was able to get it to work on windows 11. I still have some connection errors, but I think it must be because I couldn't install ssl, so when I try with IOS system, it doesn't work properly the redirect. Or it's due to not having a UniFi Security Gateway, which prevents me from releasing routes/ports.

@@andredesouzayes but they have security risks xss and stuff , i think Unifi is trying to Remove the Captive Portals they old unifi controller have vulnerabilities, the new version has captive portal but only with external captive portal, the internal captive portal with custom changes is not available anymore, i just have made my unifi controller public i puted ssl too (this was very hard to do ) in the controller because when clients were trying to connect to wifi it was showing no certificates and some security warnings, i have old version of unifi controller and just counting the days until i get hacked😅

On Android I have no problems. Now I decided to make the captive portal based on the vouchers created in the unifi controller.
