But this one felt that way right from the get go to me. And ahh I see I see. I felt like I was probably handling it wrong...and I did...but it mostly worked out! And thank God Egg didn't die! She did an amazing job resisting DD over and over haha

I hear you and agree. It's fun but still leaves you wanting a bit more. Like it was 90% fleshed out and they just didn't know what to do for the last 10% and said "Screw it, We ride". The art and theme are by far my favorite parts too. I know I'm in the minority for this opinion, but like I said in the video I'm personally okay with bad RNG being a thing. Sometimes, even if you do everything right, it just doesn't work. It sucks, but Fromsoft and roguelikes have broken me into enjoying that, haha. But I mean maybe Black market and brick and mortar fix some of these issues. I haven't checked them out yet either. So when you do try them out, let me know what you think. Feel free to drop another comment, yell at me during a stream or joining the discord haha. However, if those expansions don't fix the issues, maybe I can look into creating my own house rules or seeing how others address these problems and put them into another video! Haha, because I totally agree with you, just a few more tweaks and I think this game can be so much better.

@keyydarkfoundry I explored for around 60 hours. I was avoiding spoilers but I got so stuck and wasn't sure how to continue I had to start checking where to go. And I know I missed a few NPC quests. But still an amazing game.

I feel ya on that! For most games I try to go in blind too and want to explore it myself. I'm just a big speed runner fan so I got Elden Ring spoiled by watching those haha. Luckily I can see experience the cutscenes and the maps myself though since all the speed runs cut through it so fast

Oh no! The first time setting up does take a bit, since there're so many things to get together and organize. But hopefully the next time doesn't take as long. Or like I suggested in the video, try dividing up the responsibilities between you and your friends. So everyone is helping out and setting up different components. It makes setup and putting away a whole lot faster, not including how much smoother the gameplay is when everyone is doing a little bit.

There is a trinket which increases the dmg against "stone work", I think it was called chisel or hammer. Use that on leper or shield breaker

Also the boss is eldritch + stone work. Don't bother bringing trinkets which give buffs against blood sucker

Yeah no freaking kidding! I didn't realize breaking the shield was gonna completely wreck me like that haha! Luckily no one died in my party and we were able to retreat relatively safely. But dully noted! I'll have to try those party compositions for when I attempt him next.

I know they can technically out speed me, but its not fair! I'm out here stacking speed so they never get a turn haha. And while I was on my flight I was thinking just about the same thing in terms of the shards to crests thing. I know I could get more crests doing dungeon runs. I think what is most appealing about the shards is that they seem to have the best ratio to other heirlooms so I don't need to risk level 5 and 6s to die to some nonsense. But the fact that the Mercenaries ate like 30+ shards is mad annoying, I'll be doin my best to never use them again now. Cause yeah, a lil over 1 hour for just 60 ish shards is pretty rough. But I could have probably played it better and done better. Ima try to level up some of the heroes you suggested last time that way I can try that party in endless and get more shards!

@@keyydarkfoundry your team is very good, Still you can put a leper if you wanna try my loadout completely but be careful. Leper sucks against sleeper(that crystal boss) as he lacks reach so that's the best time to use leper's revenge and other buff or break crystals in front but the entire dmg dealing to boss will be dealt by shield breaker. In 2nd phase leper can melt him though. Also you need to have atleast 20 crystals, you can miss out on experienced recruit for hire event if it spawns.

Thanks and yeah, I know leper hits like a truck! So he might be able to handle breaking those crystals fairly quickly while my shield breaker does her best to finish off the sleeper. And noted! I'll try to either get some thing beyond the stars fights or do another endless mode once I'm back. And yeah, it's always the saddest to lose heroes to dumb things.

Yup! That's why I'll always stand firm that rogues are the best class haha. Expertise and reliable talent instantly make the rogue the best to almost any skill check

I think I got that event once and got a decent hero out of it. But yeah, I wanna farm up some of the shards off stream cause I imagine it's gonna take a LONG time to do so.

@@keyydarkfoundry the best way is to send your own resolve level 6 hero instead of shard mercenaries. Do it when you don't have to bring them, after all most of the time resolve level 6 heroes don't go on many missions because we have to level up newbies.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Using the level 6 heroes who have already gone through the darkest dungeon. My only concern is putting together a proper party haha.

​@@keyydarkfoundryJester, Vestal, Highwayman and leper or shield breaker. With jester don't use dmg skill at all, only buff your party and throw stress heal every 4-5 rounds. You don't need to equip any accuracy or even crit item as jester will take care of all of it. Just equip stress reduction and dmg increase on front liners and equip stress heal and stress reduction on jester. On vestal 1 heal item(not junia head) and 1 stress reduction item.

I realized after the fact that I was clicking the torch haha

Good to know, the only reason I used it the second time was because I thought the vestal could also heal themselves with it like it did for the bounty hunter when they had the mortality debuff. And I knew I wasn't being very effective with the camp skills. Next leper I train up I'll make sure they have that ability!

Yup!! There's nothing wrong with tropes or common monsters, but I wanna help expand your games world and give your players a fresh experience against monsters they'd never think of.

Very true, I just try to use mostly non homebrew stuff that way everyone can get a similar experience.

I was also surprised that there are so few reviews for how well this book did as a Kickstarter and how amazing the content inside is! And ooh!! Nice nice, what's been your most memorable moment with the biomancy wizard? And yeah!! The Mycellian have such an interesting lore about them, that it can really open up your story to so many different possibilities.

I think it was when we wanted to cross a shallow part of the river but that had very rapid streams and we wanted to get our wagon filled with mimics (we were delivering them so it was important to ensure their safety) and our donkey over. I had picked the trimorphism surgery of the day so he could enlarge himself without concentration. After a little discussion if it could stack or not since it technically wasnt a spell like this i was allowed to cast enlarge normally on top of it to become huge and carry the wagon and the donkey over the river. Which is normally i would never be able to do as a wizard of all things. Like this is barbarian or runeknight fighter territory it was kinda hilarious that it was the partys wizard who did the musclework and did it well. Biomancer in general if you use the biomancy spells in Helianas make for a very interesting mid range buffing support and very tanky espicially if you lean in with high con (this wizard had a 20 con believe it or not)and even emergency healer since the biomancy spells heal a bit of hp if used.

Of course! I love hearing fun DnD stories and seeing what wacky plans others can concoct. And oh, very interesting cargo you had. Were you supplying Dungeons-r-Us or something, haha? But that's actually a pretty cool and clever interaction. I'm glad you were able to break the mold and outshine those muscle heads! Show em the power of being smaht! And I totally agree with you, the biomancy spells are all so cool and unique. I like that they allow you to kinda perform other roles and really open up your utility by a lot. Though some are very situationally specific, I think they all have a decent place and use case.
