Everything about KISS in this movie was an absolute LIE!!! This was 1976, those are the wrong costumes! And the 1974 Scene was messed up as well! They didn't start singing "Shout It Out Loud" until KISS Destroyer came out in 1976, I still have that LP from 1976!

This movie sucked.

Shout It Out Loud, Rock and Roll All Nite and Beth sound so different from the original versions of themselves, but this is one awesome biographical movie!

Huge flub having it in standard tuning. There was a rawness and heaviness of the original which in part was because it was in E-flat.

You know what KISS achieved? It gave a voice to the down and out jewish kid, the Italian kid, and the kids from the dark corners of NYCs boroughs. A kid that basically didn't have a chance in his life of being great.

A real KISS fan can easily spot how corny this band looks and sounds compared to the actual original KISS.

The band that is supposed to KISS is sooo cheesy, they come across even more flamboyant and gay than the real Paul Stanley. Also i can't even begin to list how many factual errors i see in that clip of them on stage as far as things that didn't exist in 1974-77. The wrong amps, wrong guitars. and on and on..

Makeup copyrights aside These guys look ridiculously bad in their looks, movements, vocals and guifaking. Looks like a cheap made-for-TV special.

Mix on the KISS cover is way too drum heavy. It should've been more consistent with all the instruments.
