I don't know... I think folks believe that using the Ned Rig is almost like cheating because of how effective it is, as if it doesn't take skill to master. But I think it takes as much skill as any other technique, honestly. There is no absolute standard for using it. You still have to match the hatch, vary your retrieves, work out patterns, etc... The main benefit is its compact size... and I've substituted the ned jig for finesse jigs with the same results. I've also substituted other soft plastics for your typical ned rig lures on the ned jig. It's just such a great all around approach for catching fish in almost any situation 🤷‍♂ I've never understood the hate.

The ned rig never lets me down on the rivers in middle TN. Some solid fish right there. Purdy work!

Dude, I got shingles right now. I can't imagine the pain on your face? I have it on the left side of my front mid stomach and chest. It feels like Mike Tyson punched me in the rib cage. The pain is especially bad at night. It's hard to describe other than "INSIDE BODY PAIN". It's no joke. I would advise everyone to get the Shingles Vaccine. You don't want this. The week before I broke out in a rash I was having terrible headaches and felt sick as a dog. This is a nasty virus. Get vaccinated immediately to prevent this torture folks.
