Cool video, thanks for showing us the highlights of your hometown! I'm down in Ketchikan, so close yet so far away, I hope to visit Wrangell one day!

One of the prettiest islands in SE Alaska, we lived there for 23 years, the scenery is spectacular especially if you catch it in a sunny day. Otherwise, light rain gear is a must to have with you. Would have loved to stay there forever but medical issues forced us back to the craziness of living back south. Living in Wrangell is easy but very isolating. Enjoyed the film footage, every scene was instantly recognized.

I arrive in San Jose October 9 and go straight to Puerto Viejo I’m so excited. What mode of transportation did you use to get from the airport to your destination and how is the Wi-Fi or phone coverage there?

Thanks for the info! I've been living in Juneau and am thinking of checking out Wrangell. Too many people in Juneau. Lol. Can you drive from Wrangell to Thoms Place? Been researching properties down there.
@rudybriskar5267 Жыл бұрын
Thom's Place is only accessible by boat or by trail. I don't think there's actually a trail, at least not a groomed trail down to Thom's Place. The groomed trail goes to Thom's Lake.

Is it a two flight trip? Meaning get off a plane and then take another one to get to the island? Also, we don’t need a passport right?

Great video, im going to be moving Tulum soon, what was your wifi speeds out there? Aribnb and co working?
@JOONTHEGO3 жыл бұрын
My apartment was about 8 mbps but I've definitely heard of people having more than that in other apartments. I'd say the coworking spaces are around 15 mbps, assuming there aren't too many people using it at once.

Where are the names of these places??
@JOONTHEGO3 жыл бұрын
The street food stands rarely have names but are usually in the same spots every day so that is how people know where to find them. If you walk around downtown Tulum in the evening, you will run across dozens of them!

Thank you for this video! Could you provide the info for the first hostel you are talking about? Also, do you speak Spanish?
@JOONTHEGO3 жыл бұрын
I'm not going to name the first one because it had great reviews during non-COVID times and I don't want to turn anyone off of it but I highly recommend the Selina in downtown Cancun! I don't speak Spanish but I picked up a little bit while I was there.

Unfortunatley when you are in a hostel they have just one wifi point and all the guests use it so is the reason that is very slow. Good luck!

Yes exactly. The hostel wifi in Mexico was just too unpredictable for completing my schoolwork.

@JOONTHEGO3 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly, Chulalongkorn didn't require them but my home university did. They required some and recommended others but I also researched and talked to my student health clinic to make sure I didn't miss anything. Have fun on your travels!
