I'm in Mexico too. Your experience is similar to what I've heard from other solo women around. In those smaller towns especially solo women are viewed with suspicion or pity given the traditional culture. It can be isolating. I'm curious as to how you were able to get a university position. I'm thinking of getting certified to teach but would possibly like the option to teach adults as well one day in case I get tired of the kids one day lol. Would love to hear your experience

Hi there. Everything will be different for everyone depending on the person and the location, I’m sure. This is a very diverse country. I’ve worked here before. Someone in my teacher’s group recommended it about 8 years ago. I came back in 2021 because I found another advert for a position for it online. Came back again in January the same way. There are many of these public universities here, but there will be many fewer positions available now because the university has finally changed its policy and started hiring Mexicans for the language department. This is a VERY good job for Mexico and Mexicans, so there will be less and less of these jobs advertised.

Regarding 9:31 - 9:56 This is what I told to a friend of mine with similar feelings and circumstance. " I was watching an old SiFi Terminator 1984 this guy is zapped down to Earth in a fetal position nude ,with traces of slim on his body , ( representing every human on Earth ). The movie is about 1:45:00 long. But only 3:52 minutes into the movie ,he is on his life's mission to assist Sara what's her name. So get this he spent only 2% of his life on earth getting his self together and 98% of the time in the movie pursuing his life mission. The average person who's been traumatized by a life event dose the reverse percentage,...... We spend almost 98% of our time saying I can't believe this mest up crap happened to me And our real life mission gets not alot more than 2% of our attention. " When we're in or think we're about to go in a slump ,....eat lots of cherries or something healthy with lots of cherries in it. And do something towards your life mission, or if you don't know what your life mission is spend time trying to wonder what it is.

Yes, were inextricably linked by this paradoxical event in all of our lives. We don't know each other, but we all relate to some degree on more than one level. Unfortunately, the avoidant attachment style is not in touch with their emotions. They can't tell you something they don't know themselves. If you're an anxious attachment style, this may be a pattern for you, choosing people who are very distant or aloof. They feel safe in the beginning because they aren't overly emotional. Unfortunately, they can't feel their emotions and this can cause more pain than an overly emotional person. It's takes a lot of work on the self to get in touch with emotions. It's something they have to recognize on their own and choose to work through. There's nothing we can do to change or fix that. Unfortunately, you will likely either have to learn to them with them as they are, leave. If they ever trust enough to let someone in, it will never be to the degree that you would like it. They're always going to feel like they have one foot out the door if they're an avoidant type. Many adoptees struggle with attachments. Compassion is key. We didn't choose this and even with lots of help, there are some things that will never change. Sending love and light. 🌻🌻🌻

Hi Kamina, it raises the question of whether we should be adopted outside of our race and culture 😳
@kaminathekoach9087 Жыл бұрын
There are those that will make the argument about POC not adopting and there being more children than parents. That's pure sociology. Fix the systems that are keeping women uneducated, impoverished, and forced to give up babies. Make abortion legal and accessible. Where children can't stay in the home, educate for placement inside of the extended family. And in the very worst case scenario, place children with parents that look like them. POC of color are denied adoption far more than whites. The entire system is broken.
@inked6880 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for answering. I agree with everything you said especially placing with extended family that being the best option IMO. In the worst case scenario I definitely think that open adoption should be the rule.
