The house that was just to the west of Lucy's house is still there, although it has been remodeled. Of course Lucy's house is gone, but the somewhat similiar neighbor's house remains.

My dad farmed land adjacent to their ranch on the west side of Wilbur. As a kid, maybe 5 years old in 1955 I remember my dad pointing out the house and telling me Lucy lived there. My mom several times ran into Lucy at the grocery in Chatsworth at the corner of Devonshire and Topanga. Those were the days. There is a video on youtube titled something like san fernando 1940s or devonshire 1940s. You can see the house.

Love Chatsworth area. Love the cabin cafe. Used for a lot of t.v. Shows and movies.

I don't think I've ever seen a picture of the 'whole' house (ranchette) only segments of it (such as the inside rooms or the pool, etc). I'd read where Desi had actually either built some of the place or was involved in the building of extra rooms and the guest house/suite.

Great video Nikki, my great Aunt Lucy and Uncle Desi would have loved it. Even though the house is gone we still have some of the furniture from the Chatsworth Ranch. You know more about the ranch than I do but my grandmother Zoe Ball (Fred's wife) signed some photos of the furniture she (Lucy) gave me as coming from her NYC apartment and Chatsworth ranch. We used most of the stuff after she gave it to us but want to part with much of it now. One large item of particular I'm selling is her couch (one of her couches); so if you know anybody that wants stuff owned by Lucy then let me know! ...otherwise it's going to auction in December.

Dear Johnny B, WOW! Thank you!!! I am just seeing this now! As you know your Great Aunt Lucy, Uncle Desi and company still bring joy and laughter to this day to everyone who watches the shows all over the world. It's so wonderful and heart warming living so close to the land where they spent some of the best years of their lives together. I can't tell you how excited I am you watched my little video here and truly enjoyed it! That means the world to me! Thank you so very much for commenting and the fantastic review! I don't really consider myself a KZbinr, I'm a music teacher, but I occasionally make videos about things that interest me, and this was my favorite. I will put the word out about the couch, how exciting! Is there a link where people can read about it and see pictures? I am so flattered and excited you, a real family member made a point to give me such a fantastic review and knowing that Lucy and Desi would of loved it makes me happier than I can express in words! I'd bet the Lucy-Desi Museum in Jamestown, NY would probably want it. Not sure if they function as a 'real' museum, with professional staff who do that sort of work but I'd imagine they would have some interest due to its connection to Ball. Hardly any of the original props and sets from Desilu, used for their series, survived and only reproductions are in place at the museum. However, a real and authentic bit of property would add something to what they do.

That for doing this. I also live in the Valley and grew up watching I love Lucy. It's sad how all things come to an end...but they left their mark and legacy. Thanks for the memories and for a childhood filled with their antics!!

crazydogladynikki ......Yes, I was born in the Valley. Early, 60s, by then Lucy was in Beverly Hills, and Desi was in Corona on a ranch, breeding horse's. I heard however, Frank Sinatra and the boys came over for drinks and billiards.

Whoops, Ttippi Hedren is not Jamie Lee Curtis's mom. Jamie Lee Curtis is the daughter of Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis. I knew that! LOL I get confused ha ha.... But Ttippi Hedren is the mother of Melanie Griffith, right.... I'm getting my Alfred Hitchcock starlets and famous daughters confused.

This was so much fun! Loved the commentary. I totally want that toilet in the casino!!!!! Amazing lol. I'm also a little jealous because I don't think we have any Brittany spears slot machines in Atlantic city!!! It should be black jack so she can say "hit me baby one more time" 😂😂😂 sorry.. Thanks Krystal! This was my 1 night away for my last Birthday (July 31st) mom was having her knee replacement surgery on the 27th and if I wanted to get away before mom needed me this was my chance. I love it up there. The casino was good to me, this time..... That Anderson's family suite is so cozy! It would be prefect for your family, the couch pulls out into a bed too.

Thanks Krystal! The quality is no where as good as your videos but I'm having fun =) I have a little flip camera ha ha... I met a video guy at one of my student recitals and he told me... that the flip is fine, my problem is I'm running everything trough Movie Maker, and movie maker sucks! LOL.... he told me about some free programs that are much better but I just haven't had made the time to sit down and play with everything.

One woman said ''she's so selfish, it's always abut her'' LOL!!?? I was like WHAT!? Relax lady? It's a TV show LOL?? To each his own I guess, but there are more Lucy lovers than haters for sure! Ha ha ha... :D

Well, I can honestly say I don’t think there is anything enjoyable to the viewer on this video, shaky camera work, wind and poor quality... But I enjoyed the walk...... Keep scrolling people.
