Great to see a fishing company putting the halibut back with the anglers enjoying the sport without having to kill everything. So many videos on here you see idiots taking everything that gets hooked up just because they can when there is no nee for it part from greed. We've all good a great future in fishing if everyone was a responsible as these guys.

Cheers Peter. Responsible fishing is very important these days. Luckily, alot more people are starting to realise this.

Very nice turbot! There is not much Turbot around at the Moment, but the conditions are Fine, any idea why there is not so much turbot there ? Greets from Henne
@malthewislerjohansen6695 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Conditions was good in april and alot of turbot was caught. Then the temperature dropped so they stopped biting. This weekend they have started biting again due to higher temperatures and less wind. This week should be really good.
@Timbo877695 жыл бұрын
Malthe Wisler Johansen i Hope so. Came from the Beach a few Moments ago, saw 2 very big ones. Wind will change to the west the Next days, i only caught fish with wind from the east. You catch fish with higher winds from the West ?
@malthewislerjohansen6695 жыл бұрын
@@Timbo87769Yeah wind direction doesnt really matter that much - as long as the water is clear and the waves arent too big (above 1.5 meter). If you know they are there, try changing up your setup. Some days with unclear water the GULP saltwater baits worked really well cause of the smell. Try fishing super slow with lots of spin stops. If its totally clear a little speed is fine and shads work really well.
@Timbo877695 жыл бұрын
Malthe Wisler Johansen very nice information thank you. I caught one good turbot yesterday. Was fishing with a spoon, above the gulp sandeel and above that a fly. Caught it on the fly. I am here for the next 2-3 weeks so maybe i will catch another one

@malthewislerjohansen6696 жыл бұрын
conspiracies are just great stories the rods are small Because they are made for vertical boat fishing. But they are really strong and stiff. Takes a good fish to bend it like that 😁

Being a jersey guy, I grew up fishing for fluke(flounder to others) on party boats, beaches, docks and rivers. My parents also had two boats(only one boat at a time. Sold first one and got another several years later) so I spent a ton of time fishing. Catching a 5 pound fluke was a huge deal there. Hell, the record was around 12 pounds...seeing these monster halibut really blows me away. They are basically the new jersey fluke, but a thousand times heavier...my god
