I switched to 2116LSR. When I tighten my rocker, it preloads my valve spring instead of pushrod side. Is this normal or are my pushrods too long? I'm not sure if the pump is just that hardcore on them. There's no spring in the cup

Internet for the win! Has there ever been a publication or show that did this level of testing with this much consumer involvement? I can't think of anything close. True grassroots and camaraderie. A great thing to watch. Congrats to every single one of you guys. You guys did more than test cams, you redefined media going forward. Just wait and see.

Why not ADD a Pro Charger or turbos and see how much more than 1000HP you get? After all ETS just added twin turbo's and went 8.64 @ 170 MPH ( see video on youtube!) in the quarter? Surely YOUR HEADS AND CAM with a supercharger or/and turbo's SHOULD easily beat that time! After all power at the track is what it is all about, or WHY BUILD IT?

After listening to and watching this video of your approach to camshaft design I decided to subscribe, It's nice to see a humble approach to your success. Thanks for competing and sharing your knowledge.

GPI is and has been at the forefront of LS and LT piwer and reliability for a while. I’ve used them multiple times and they always NAIL it. I’ve worked directly with Ryan on a few of my custom cams for our drift cars and drag cars and they always exceed expectations. Very few people understand valvetrain as well as these guys and this proves it. Great job as usual guys🥳🥳

Hi, I have a LT4 in a Camaro. I wanted a BTR cam, but the guy that built and tuned the motor had you guys port the heads and used your cam, At that point I had never heard of GPI....lol. You fellas should be very proud of yourselves! Congrats!!!

You guys have done the community proud with your results. GWATNEY already resides in the upper thought echelon along names like CID, BTR, MAST and even LME, as Tier 1 Gen 3/4/5 Chevy SB Professionals. This Competition frankly just backed up Gwatney's already long line of successes and records. Something tells me that if this were an EFI setup, that competitor's such as yourself would have been leaps and bounds ahead of others. I love seeing shops go head to head. No losers, all winners, as everyone who entered their Cam into the public arena had balls.

The cam challenge was fun, I put in a guess in, My guess= Intake 239 @ .050"-.650" lift / Exhaust 247 @ .050"- .659" lift / LSA=108, hats of to Eric he did an awesome job, it was exciting and informative, congrats to GPI on 2nd place

Not surprised GPI did really well. I have GPI CNC ported heads, intake and throttle body on my 5th gen tuned in house by Ben and it has exceeded my expectations. The folks at GPI are very passionate and very good at what they do. Congratulations!

Air in, air out. Doesn't matter how you get it in or out . The more the better.
@highpsiguy4085Ай бұрын
That's not at all true. If that were the case lift would be the only spec mentioned or focused on. Lsa and duration play a huge role in cam performance as well. The intake opening event and the time at which it occurs is also a critical factor. These all play a roll in not only hp gains, but power curve shape and width, streetability, idle characteristics etc etc etc. a lot of this info is touched on in the video. Listen to what's explained and try your best to learn from the free knowledge
@jarlnieminen4307Ай бұрын
Wrong. It matters if the air enters or exits a window in the block.
