I thought you would like this mission, it's one of the better ones for sniping. You can place a demo charge on the back of the tanks, that blows a hole in the back armor, then you can shoot into the hole, and destroy the tank.

Yeah it seems very promising so far! So there are no more weak points to shoot on the tanks then?
@stburr914 күн бұрын

This is a pretty cool tutorial - especially as I'm just diving into trains - the only thing I would add is that you can also link together all the storages! For example, tie the stations to all 6 chests (or all storage chests for fluid), and use that whole total to check whether the station should be on. This will more reliably check whether the entire pickup falls below a specific amount.

You mentioned the map being very empty of enemy, but that's because they all ran to your position at the beginning when you were discovered. In my playthrough, I remained undetected through most of the map, and there were enemy patrolling all over the map.
@SiCDisasterАй бұрын
That's what I figured was going on, but it seems like a wild overreaction on the AI's part. It's nice in a way to keep the pressure up but then the rest of the map gets drained of enemy forces, and if I wasn't alone, another operator would just have free reign lol.

Great video. Not let me tell you something. It will be a big comment. Since you are talking about hardcore snipping let me tell you, the "hardest"-core snipping in Sniper Elite series is in Sniper Elite 1. During making of the game they actually brought an actual sniper. The game has a wind meter but no binocular to get the distance. You have to use the lines in the scope to figure out distance of the enemy. The manual which was an actual book back in the day (now pdf) has detailed explanation of how to figure out wind and distance and adjust for it. It is insanely deep. The manual even has blank pages to use it for calculating the wind and elevation. There are also not red colour on environmental object that can be shot (like gas tanks of truck). To know to to destroy trucks and tanks, one must read manual. It goes in detail on those and their weak spots. If you want to place dynamite to blow up something you can either place it and shoot it or you have to manually set the timer on the bomb and I really mean it. You have to set the timer gradually from 5 second to 45 minutes I believe. However, I won't recommend the game to anyone because of a few things 1) it does not control very smoothly. Players can get used to it but still it is never going to be smooth. 2) no checkpoints or saves. There is a cheat code of sort that enables saving but by default you have to complete the mission in one go. To the game's favour the missions are smaller in size. 3) since it is the first game in the series the devs hadn't figured out yet what works the best. So you have some incredibly engaging missions with a while lot of absolute BS sequences. There are 2 missions that are pure Sniper Elite and shows the DNA that made the later games. 4) the game looks bad. I know it is an old game and graphics won't look good but older games that that looks better. It's not graphics, it is bad art direction. 5) bad story. Even though in the series it is the only game with some acurate historical background (aside from V2, more on that) If someone wants to experience a version on Sniper Elite 1 without jank, I would recommend V2 as it is a loose remake of the original game with much more efficiently told story and the sequence of events and missions are better set up. Some missions are cut though or brought back in DLC. But the hardcore stuffs and tactical planning is nowhere near as good as the original. For instance, there is a mission in V2 where you have set ambush and hide at a nearby church or something. In V2 the game will tell you here you place the bomb (and the game will choose the bomb for you) and hide here. In the original you have to decide where to place the bomb, which type or explosive to place, if dynamite then whether to add timer or not, and where to hide. The game will just let you do what you want to. That's all. I hope you read this very very long comment.
@SiCDisasterАй бұрын
Hey, I meant to reply a lot sooner but such a comment deserves a proper reply haha. I have played Sniper Elite 1 as well in the past, though just not on KZbin. It was my first experience with the series, though I didn't finish it if I remember correctly. I didn't remember all the things you talk about, but I definitely do remember being impressed with the enemy sniper AI because it takes a shot at you and then moves, sometimes hides for quite some time and pops up in another place to take another shot. It was quite fun to play against. Sadly I also remember a part of the enemy AI that I didn't like, and that was the fact they basically know where you are at all times once you take a shot. I very clearly remember a map where I took a shot at a patrol from across a canal. And after that shot, I ran away into the building, through a few alleys, zigzagging completely randomly and then entering a basement somewhere, and I hid in a corner. These guys lost sight of me the moment I moved deeper into the building I took the shot from, yet they found me immediately and just sprayed me down as soon as they entered the basement haha. I remember being quite disappointed with V2, because it's basically just a linear path shooter with no freedom. It's a lot smoother but also much more boring, and I only really liked it for the X-ray kill cams. V3 finally started getting good again, but that one also suffered from not being able to save in missions, at least on authentic difficulty. But it had semi-open maps, so that was pretty nice. V4 is definitely still king for me though.

The starting with "Year" before narrating is just so superb, eventhough it gives you the darker tone and spine chilling vibes with history and political outlooks that sets off with the thrilling and sinister background soundtrack, and the "Codename is Rainbow" sound so badass and powerful at the same time.. man, what a way to tell and set up and good story for a good shooter game!
@The-Ttk2 ай бұрын
You can make all of your inputs generic , using a wildcard interrupt, this way you don't need to create an input for every train but rather use the same interrupt for all the trains. You could also make all your depots generics too using interrupts BUT, you will then need to add some circuits to your stations for dynamic "Train limitations + Priority" combination, so your trains doesn't all keep gathering a resource more than the others (default , they go to nearest stop). So at then end if you do both (generic depots and inputs), you will literally have one and only one group of trains named "Solids trains", and an other group named "Liquids trains". Then you will just need to add trains when needed and they will magically start doing their stuff on the map. I Created it and it was just marvelous ! At least do it for the "inputs" it's straight forward and doesn't need any circuits, just the solid/liquid wildcards (*)

@SiCDisaster2 ай бұрын
@@stburr91 yeah it was very enjoyable to play, it has a potential for a lot of long range and close range fighting. Knowing the wind indicator mechanic change is a massive game changer for me. I always had the idea it worked exactly like SE4, and that it was an indication of wind strength you still need to adjust to yourself across different distances. And that they just massively reduced the impact wind had on the trajectory, and I had to relearn the.. meta? I guess? I couldn't put my finger on how to get a feel for it, it seemed so random. Knowing it now just indicates exactly where the bullet will go rather than wind strength explains so much 😂 To be honest I'm not a fan of the change. But I get why they did it, which I assume is for the invasion mode. It makes for faster sniper fights at long range. Though there would be much more skill involved if it was still a wind strength indicator.

Great run Sic. Since you are playing custom map, let me recommend you a custom map pack. It is called Sheriff's Special Force (SSF). It is a very old map pack, probably even older than Elite Force. It is probably the first time traps were seen in a map for SWAT 4. This map pack is basically a remake of most of the maps (the good ones, not the sewer level) from SWAT 3. The maps ran really well with SWAT 4 systems. The maps were very faithfully recreated, so faithfully in fact that when I played SWAT 3 for the first time after playing the map pack, not knowing that it is a recreation, I realised that I knew everything about the maps - every room, their layout, secret layer, everything. Enemies and civilians were randomised of course. So if you don't have a problem with SWAT 3 maps spoiler and want to play those maps with SWAT 4 systems and graphics I would recommend that map pack. However, I have never played with Elite Force so no idea if it runs with Elite Force. Since Elite Force runs other custom maps, SSF should run as well.

Thanks man! Yeah, I have played SSF before, even here on the channel. I really enjoyed it, and all of the SWAT 3 maps it added. I never really played SWAT 3 'properly'. I tried a few times on too modern pc's, so there were usually some issues. And coming into the series with SWAT 4, the higher lethality put me off a bit, just like Ready or Not puts me off a bit for the same reason. It would be cool if there is a way to get all the SSF maps into Elite Force, since I can't imagine going back to playing without it, and the voice commands :'D

Thank you! I already have three Sniper Elite 5 videos recorded actually. They will be 1080p still, because I was still running an old monitor when I recorded them. But after that the other videos should be in 2k resolution. Sadly out of your list I don't have most of those titles, though I do own Uboat, which someone gifted to me. I haven't really played it though, the learning curve is pretty steep. I have no prior experience with submarine games, or even the tactics that go into being an efficient Uboat captain. But it does look really cool. Graviteam Tactics: Mius-Front has been on my wishlist for a long time though. I suppose that at some sale in the future I should finally pull the trigger and get it :P I haven't touched ArmA 3 in a while either since I'm mostly interested in single player content, and most of the DLC's are MP-focused. Which only makes sense, since that is what most people play. Though I see Spearhead 1944 does add two SP scenarios. But are they proper single player scenarios or just coop-focused scenarios you could also play alone? The feature list of the rest of the mod does sound pretty cool though, in particular the morale system. That seems like it could be very cool in a large-scale battle, like the commander mode or whatever it's called. The one where you can order around whole squads instead of individual soldiers within your squad.
@stburr914 ай бұрын
@@SiCDisaster Spearhead 1944 is very cool, the coop missions, you get AI teammates that you can command, and you can save your game, so it plays like a proper single player mission. I generally don't like playing coop missions in sp, but the Spearhead missions fun to play in sp, so don't let that hold you back if you are considering the CDLC. Of all the game I recommended, I think RDR2 is the best one, it is considered to be one of the very best video games of all times. I would suggest looking into it, and see if it's something you might be interested in. Even if you don't do videos on it, it has a great campaign, well worth the time. Anyway, good to see you back on youtube.

@@stburr91 that's good to know. I've bought some other cdlc in the past but they've never been very good as single player experiences. I saw they just recently added a new map to the dlc as well, which is cool. I might get it then, it's not too expensive. I have finished RDR2 in its entirety already, yeah its an amazing game. It's definitely a game though that is best saved for playing by myself. The story is too good to break up in shorter playsessions, or to have the distraction of recording etc on the side. In the end it would break the immersion too much and detract from the experience for me. It's the type of game I'd only ever do an opinion piece on instead of a full playthrough.
