This reminds me of how I sounded the first time I sang this while in college. It takes a moment to vocally "sit" in the delicacy of the sound and French language!

Our choir sang this today in church. The church congregation clapped in response.

Probably a good performance, but the balance is poor and that fact combined with the rotten acoustics almost utterly defeats the choir's efforts at textual clarification and enunciation.

Beautiful . Reminds me of something I sang when I was with the Kansas City Symphony Chorus years ago. Exquisite and captivating.

I'm someone not connected with this group, but someone who wished to enjoy this, for me, rarely heard work, so my comment may be, perhaps, free of any bias. I accept this wasn't intended as a production to stun KZbin audiences, but has a more local purpose - hence the distant audio perspective (OK for choir, but not for soloist) and fixed single camera view. So, after all that: I love the music and find it difficult to believe chorus members aren't auditioned as they sound fully professional (well, there were just one or two moments, but that's all), as is the music direction. I thought the only weakness was the soloist who, at times, wasn't quite on pitch - including a passage toward the end that is almost totally off-pitch, a pity, he seemed to be tiring. Otherwise, congratulations.

Sing till the power of the Lord come down. Shout Hallelujah! Praise His Holy name! Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me; I once was lost, but now I'm found, was blind, but now I see. Jesus, Jesus, how I love Thee! Shout Hallelujah! Praise his Holy name! Refrain Must Jesus bear the cross alone and all the world go free? No, there's a cross for ev'ryone and there's a cross for me. Jesus, Jesus, how I love Thee! Shout Hallelujah! Praise His Holy Name! Refrain Hallelujah! Praise His Name! Let us Praise His Name, Hallelujah, Lord! Praise His Holy Name! Hallelujah Oh, oh- Praise High Holy Name! Praise Him!

Genocide is wrong no matter who commits it. Babies and toddlers are now severely malnourished and the people of Gaza starving due to Netanyahu. 17k+ children killed and he insists he will attack Rafa where 600,000 children have taken refuge...

Isn’t Davis simply the conductor of this performance rather than the creator of the composition itself? His website says that the music is by Franz Xaver Gruber and that the lyrics are by Joseph Mohr.
