These co-ordinates are well off, i got 50.5 by 137.4 when landing outside the Dav’s Hope entrance sign, unless they moved the unoccupied base to another location since you did this video then don’t follow the co-ordinates in the description.

Haven't played the game in a long time, so I tried doing this mission. Found the ship, could find the data link, ended up being attacked and destroyed just trying to find it. Now I remember why I stopped playing this crappy game.

Actually, this is slow and old school. The way to do it now is equip your ship with remote flack cannons, find the spires or whatever geological feature, back off to just where you can see them populate (500m). Blast them with remote flack, back up 100-200m so that the features depopulate, then release collector limpets. No need to leave the ship. I got 120 selenium in about 15 minutes on one planet, never left my ship.

Speaking only for myself, I found it far easier to locate all of the pylons first, and kill the Sentinels that popped up near each. Only then starting to shoot the pylons to activate them. Starting at those farthest from the ancient terminal.

While I dearly love the Anaconda, using a smaller ship like a DB-X or Asp-X to visit the Guardian sites can be of help. A smaller ship can be landed MUCH closer to the site. Like, right beside it, even almost in it. Having a point defense turret mounted on the top side of the ship will then catch quite a few of the missiles the Sentinels will fire at you.

Sigh.. yet another Commander doing this the slow and hard way! You don't need to land. You don't need an SRV. All the scanning can be done from a (preferably small - a Sidewinder is ideal) ship hovering about 10-15m above the site. Just position your ship nose-down above the spot shown in this video and scan from there, rotating your ship around to target each comms control in turn.

I didn't pay attension and with my memory, would have to have read my note's anyway. But are these planet's the same as the planet's one use to fly to in horizon some 1700 ly from the bubble.

There's an even easier way to farm these minerals.. In a word: Collector Limpets and a Remote -Flechette- FLAK Launcher! No need to even touch the ground anymore!! Drop down to 500-200m, fire your -flechettes- (FLAK) at the trees, send in your limpets to scoop up the goodies, it's that simple. Only takes one or two shots and you've cleaned house in that area.

So, now i have actually watched the whole thing - it's the bit you sorta skipped through real quickly 'filter for'... that's what wasn't working for me - although - no point in really discussing it since, i think since then i have fixed the issue - i think i just didn't know HOW to access the 'filter' or my binds didn't work or maybe even the planet i was trying it out on just didn't HAVE the stuff! Pretty sure if i try it nowadays, it would work... I'm sure ppl would like a tutorial that goes into depth on how to actually use it, the whole interface, keybinds and all - and same fro the SRV scanner (that thing is confusing!!! Some ppl are so expert at it they know what's what, just from the shapes, density/height etc of the radar efffects on the sorta compas/direction indicator HUD thingy 🤪🥴

Hi everyone, it seems there is a lot of confusion as to how to find the ship in the first place. So I am going to make a few pointers to help. 1. Go to the system where the mission is located. 2. Scan the Nav becon for the system. 3. Enter into Framshift and open your NAV panel. 4. Look on that panel for the name of the ship you are looking for 5. Target and go to the location. 6. At the location, get your hardpoints on that have a Scanner 7. Scan the ENTIRE ship 8. Get closer and you will see the contacts for EACH part of the ship on your nav panel. 9. Get within 200m of the Data Relay and get your hardpoints up again and scan.. 10. Put your hardpoints away and run for the hills

Why can't I scan the bloody ship? I don't know if it makes any difference that I don't have a mission to do it. I just wanted to steal some shield upgrade materials via recon limpet. But when I lock onto the ship, no matter what distance I'm at, the data link scanner says it is out of range. I cannot do the initial scan you did.

sort and to the point... but for me, a newbie with under 30 hrs in-game is still not clear how to find the ship... you mention the Nav beacon at 3:45 but you didn't how how the nv beacon will show us the ship we're looking for...

It's faster to cut the side entrance where no guards are patrolling. Then cut the door going into ops and kill the two rank 3 NPCs and steal their tag.

i did two of these missions and everything works fine. and a usefull note . if you cant find the mega ship dont scan the navigation beacon . use fss scanner. scan everything and then look at the navigation panel . the ship must be at points of interest panel
