Due to a recall/faulty clutch, engaging the knives on my 2022 Ariens Zenith 60, the Dealer kindly lent me a Zenith E, as a replacement, as long as my Zenith 60 is @ the workshop. Around one month( waiting for parts/summer holiday)I have had the Zenith E for 2 weeks now. Have around 4.5 acres, 18 000 square meters to mowe. The 100% charged battery is down to 30% when I've finished cutting my lawn, the time spent is 1 hour 20 minutes. So when Ariens says 5.5 hours operating time fully charged, it is waaaay too optimistic. It also worth mentioning that when the batteries come down to 30 %, the top speed is reduced somewhat, you can clearly notice it. It is very fast though, top speed is higher than my Zenith 60. Have driven Zero turn machines since 2019, but I find Ariens Zenith E harder to use, than both my 2021 Ariens Apex 52 and my new Zenith 60. The steering/forward/backwards controlls are too responsive, and goes back to neutral position when you let go of the control arms, which makes it more difficult to drive in a straight line, compared to Ariens Apex 52/Zenith 60. The Ariens Zenith E is also ridiculously expensive, around 3.5 times more expensive than my Zenith 60!!!!!!!😮 and quite a bit time to fully charge the batteries, from 30% to 100%, it takes 7 hours using a 230 volt socket. @@ggmgroupltd Hi. The said that, it should be exiting to hear what I think of the Zenith E compared to my other machines. And I will pass my ecperiences of the Zenith E, to him. My "lawn" is a field, with thicker grass than your normal lawn, and has some hills as wellI. I am mowing it regulary every 5-6th. day . It has to be said again that Zenith E is Very Fast!, and has a lot of power! But if both machines had the same retail price.. , I would still choose the Zenith 60 😊.

There is a baffle that is stored on top of the deck till needed, goes into the deck, mulches fine

JD have had different length bottom blades for years, also very easy to adjust how aggressive the cut is. Hardly new technology.
