It´s a combo of voices that can only be done with rerouting the MIDI to all the channels. so the SY would not be able to do it in standard.

That is true. But to make a controller for 6 EGs it was easier for me to set up several presets in Bome (CC to Sysex) that can be used single or in combination. Otherwise i would have to switch novation templates and would only be able to control one EG at once.

I have no idea about Ableton but meanwhile i use Bome MIDI Translator for these tasks. Even better than what Logic can do.

@@tristansotomayor8354 Yes man!! I used VCV rack for this purpose already. It works great. Keep in mind that you can "thin out" the data in BOME. (works via rules) Very useful when you send multiple parameters at once. The MIDI engine of the SY can be overflown pretty easy.

well first you should get the editor for the Novation. Because entering Sysex by hand would be a pain. downloads.novationmusic.com/novation/remote/remote-zero-sl Then check for the sysex commands you wanna edit. Its possible to reverse engineer them when you connect the SY to a midi monitor. every parameter change will send out a sysex command. I also recommend this video. In fact you may use almost any controller. my second Zero is only sending out CCs which are translated to sysex via BOME Midi translator. This allows also to combine several presets for EGs. Since the MIDI traffic isnt that fast anyway there is no big latency in the translation. Also gives you the abilty to use other sources of CC to control sysex features. f.ex. controlling the LFO speed or waveshape with the modulation wheel of your masterkeyboard

Well I have to admit that I already made one about this. But haven’t made a really detailed one. YTer silverlight2004db made some some about the Novation controller. The most important thing is to check out which parameters you want to edit and which sysex code they have.

@@thehimer3903 Yamaha certainly designed it with more programmability and control than meets the eye. A sheer labyrinth of potential! Makes me think there must have been some SY series-compatible midi controller on the drawing board that never made it to final release... It would be fun to do some digging and find out!
