As I said in the description these were not my records and the mix was done on the fly so some of the tracks are still a mystery to me as a some of them were bootlegs or white labels so if anyone has any info on the first and Last Track please leave it in the comments that would be greatly appreciated, and I will post the track listing asap. Thanks.

The Transacid mix of this track on the same vinyl turns this track into a Goa sounding track.. I would say this is proto-Goa, but in 1993, there was already 2 years of Goa Trance on the move. 1993 was a huge year for Goa Trance with many ground breaking tracks. The CL McSpadden remix of this track is also very good at 10 minutes long and turns the track into a great morning track.

I remember it was a massive tune at the time , I would have just been a year into my dj career journey and probably been playing it at house parties I would have started promoting my own nights around this time the digital underground but I never played it then I was playing harder acid techno around the time 1995 when this track came out, but the after party i definitely played it and i also sampled the drums for one of my sonic temple tracks years later thanks for asking 🙏

The grey Meanie haha love it! R2 is sounding impressive and mind you had mentioned on Lori's channel. I see you have it rigged up to Ableton all good. what are your first impressions on the 2600 do you think it will become part of your setup!
@L.A.Taylor
@L.A.Taylor Ай бұрын
first impressions it looks very hard , a lot of tutorials me thinks .Yes im going for 2/3 setups 1 software and 1 all hardware which is a longer term project while I get more understanding of synthesisers etc and mix and match to get a hybrid ie using both hardware and Ableton and all the plugins etc but less is more and I've found out over time small setups while learning are better as its like being a kid in a sweetie shop to much choice and gas syndrome then you end up achieving nothing , so don't fragment your energies with loads of gear ,just stay focused learn one or 2 things at a time then move on to the next , so I'm just trying out some of my gear then I will pick which ones to study and learn I've already decided to get rid of my maschine + and the Roland TR8 as I just could not understand the workflow so I expect more will follow , ie fine tuning my studio, I had a plan to build a super studio pre 2020 and with the advice of my guids I managed to beet hyper inflation they seen it coming so i purchased a lot of my gear during then and folk thought I was daft , trying to advise them hyper inflation was looming etc but they didn't listen ,hay ho ,so I took the advice and now I have all the gear for my studio and probably couldn't afford it at todays prices so now comes the fun part and studying the stuff lol.I did the R2 on the o coast so that's another video I will post soon , but I purchased the 2600 to do that exact sounds of R2 and also underworld REZ which was done on the Arp 2600 and I'm a big Jean Michel Jarre Fan and he used one on his albums.

Yes I totally got you. I mind buying gear and lots of, rather than trying to learn one piece of gear I was already waiting for the next to add to my dawless gear. mind you I was enjoying it but never actually got full potential of one of my gear. Also I had the same thought every time did I waste my cash on a piece of gear and took me after a while to love it. lots of tutorials for me too, then took what I learned and tried doing it my way. I didn't even know sounds actually came from the 2600 this is good to know I always wondered where it came from. I had my thoughts it came from the Korg MS2000 I have no idea why but that was my thoughts. Need to let me know how you get on.

@@healingenergies639 I'm not familiar with Akai stuff is the MPC sample based ? is it the new MPC , because one of my plans is to make sample packs of my sounds as I love sound design, and I create original content on my various hardware and software synths that go into my tracks , and was thinking this R2 video I will release shortly would be I deal for people who love cosplay and the whole comic con who make there own costumes , I've seen some videos of recreating the com links for the Stormtrooper helmets , so basically I could make sample packs of Droid sounds, then they could somehow edit or play the sounds back inside of there costume/Droid etc and it would be Royalty Free so no hassle of copy rite from Lucas Skywalker sound etc.
@healingenergies639
@healingenergies639 Ай бұрын
Air tech are owned by the same parent company as Akai. They do plugins and they can also be used on your daw as well as the MPC. Some may have their own opinion but I love their plugins and being of a hardware to software synths it really is the same for me as long as you can create some really good sound then I am happy. Sample pack for cosplay is a must, would be good to have a download app so that folk can play during their cosplay, even still a wav file that they can put on their mobile. You really have these creative ideas, I can only imagine that you have a notebook full of creatives projects. Yes totally with you on that one, safe the hassle and safe the copyright strikes (back) sorry for the pun.
