I couldn't do normal version of the note block muncher thing but I found another way to do it. You have to place a twister inside the note block and do all the other steps the same. ❤
@teargasjazz90034 ай бұрын
Did you put the muncher above the note block or inside? Because it doesn't work if you put it inside of the note block. Hope this helps!

At 4:53 I would not do this, I would do 1 of 2 things 1. Build a continuous roof (doesn't have to be flat), maybe add some icicles or something on top Or 2. Have the platforms on the sides go up further This does come at the cost of being unable to use the top part of the level, if this is your plan just do what you did though.
@teargasjazz90035 ай бұрын
Building a roof works, but it feels claustrophobic :) If you build the platforms/walls higher the screen starts to scroll up and I don't want that

Spin jumping and throwing objects upwards opens up a lot of possibilities
@Scorching_Redcliff9 ай бұрын
@@teargasjazz9003 yeah, especially since themes past SMW allows wall jumping which is very bad when making kaizos since theres cheesing potential and below SMW, theres no spinjumping meaning it removes completely bombhopping (as i call)

The spring regrab? That setup is trash and pretty precise. I made this level the same week SMM2 got released, so it's a bit unpolished :P

2:22 The thing about this one is if the player does a shell jump, they can jump over the munchers and skip the drop shell jump. This was something I did and my level got cheesed a lot by it.
@teargasjazz90032 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you have to add enough spikes or munchers so they can't make the jump. With that said - a drop is just as easy as a shell jump imo, so it doesn't bother me that much. But you're right

@teargasjazz90032 жыл бұрын
I don't really have any experience with that kind of level, but testing is important. Also make sure to let the player see what's coming
@pelkariya66602 жыл бұрын
Can’t agree more with #19. Too much backgrounds make the level such harder to read. It may look good, sure, but the level is less fun cause you can’t see. Probably the most common « mistake » among makers currently.

How do you feel about entering a pipe at the beginning of a level to get the clear condition of the screen?
@teargasjazz90032 жыл бұрын
I'm not a fan of clear conditions to be honest. They serve little to no use most of the times. Especially the "Leave the ground", because you can usually just use spikes or munchers. Sure, there are some really cool levels with that condition that wouldn't work without it, but I often see levels that use it as a anti cheese tool. In my opinion there are better ways to do it. Everything I'm saying is just my own opinions, and everyone is free to to whatever they want. All I'm saying is that I don't like unnecessary transitions, conditions or waiting segments. Hope it answers your question :)
