I can’t remember but I do remember it is jetted exactly how the manual says to jet it. This video was taken after a top end rebuild including a rebuild of the power valve system. It cleaned up the throttle response so well.

Still working on it. Cleaned the carb, changed the fuel. It seemed to help a lot. Next will replace spark plug. I already replaced the top end and fixed the damaged power valve.

So the problem here was that the power valve was not working at all. The bolts that held the power valve gear in place were totally out so the valve was not opening or closing with the throttle engagement.

thoughts on 300 vs fx350? I've got an excf and would love to own a 300, but CA and their laws make it almost impossible.
@bizzidy
@bizzidy 2 жыл бұрын
Hi John, I came off a FX 350 as maybe you’ve seen in my prior vids. It’s a screamer of a bike tons of power, lots of torque and firm suspension. If you are a seasoned and skilled rider you can tackle this single track enduro type terrain with anything. But there is no doubt that the 300 2t is much better suited for tight technical trails. Rocks, roots and hard edge hits are better soaked up with the spring fork over the air fork. Also the 2t doesn’t stall or flame out. It just doesn’t. The 4t flames out nearly always at a technical spot in the trail when you need power the most. The 300 is totally purchasable and easy to own in CA. I’d recommend a used one prior to 2022.

@@bizzidy ah sorry I meant of the cardo comm unit. I always wondered how much the trees and hills affect their range.
@bizzidy
@bizzidy 2 жыл бұрын
@@ModularMuscle oh ha. Well if you get the Cardo packtalk edge or a sillmilar model it uses DMC technology. It supposedly goes 2 miles. But with trees and stuff it goes a good long way. I personally live using the Cardo in DMC mode. Using it in the older mode (Bluetooth) it barely goes 100 meters. But i got my son a cheaper version of the Cardo and we tend to stick close together. The Bluetooth mode is better than nothing. Cardo supposedly better than SENA for off-road as all units are waterproof.
