I can't wait to try your method! I see you also cut the corners off in the end before serging. How many inches is that? .5" 1", 1.5" or ....? I'm new to serging. 😊 Thank you!

Great tutorial, but I don’t understand why you don’t just sew the whole lot with the walking foot on.

From legal beagle First Sale Doctrine The "first sale doctrine" is the legal doctrine that protects the items that you make from copyrighted fabric and sell. Under the first sale doctrine, a copyright owner can enforce its rights the first time it sells an item. After the first sale, the item enters the stream of commerce, and the copyright owner's control ends. With copyrighted fabric, the first sale occurs when the copyright owner licenses or sells its copyright to the fabric manufacturer. When you purchase the fabric from a fabric store, your purchase is a subsequent sale that the copyright owner cannot control.
@TheRachagКүн бұрын
Also from legal beagle spite of the legal restrictions presented by the first sale doctrine, some copyright holders nevertheless try to enforce their copyright protection against individuals who make and sell items from copyrighted fabric. You may be able to reduce the risk of a rights owner attempting to enforce its rights against you by using a disclaimer when you sell your products. Whether you sell online, at a craft bazaars or in a retail store, it can't hurt to include a disclaimer on your website, at your booth or on your packaging that clearly states that your products are not associated or affiliated with the original copyright owner.

I think you did the right thing in giving your feedback. Unfortunately, that event host sounds like a nightmare. I would not go back there either. Rudeness is never acceptable. I’m sure you will find other venues for your great products.

As a vendor you always want to have a lot of foot traffic, but it sounds like the organizer and winery really weren't prepared for the amount of people that came. Maybe the organizer will learn something from your comments, even though you may never hear back from them.

When people make noises or act "weird" or different, just smile and don't be rude, there is a lot of people around with emotional problems or special needs that is hard to tell

I was there for the first hour and it was very chaotic even from the start. Thanks for sharing more about the event from your perspective. I drove an hour to get there and was disappointed by the quality of the event. but the vendors were great and I bought some things from your booth. I am glad they sent out a survey and I hope they do better next year because it could have been so much better with some more coordination.

I had a yard sale a few years ago and set out some craft stuff I had made. I used a separate table for the crafts and was surprised to find people actually liked seeing some things other than "yard sale" things. Know a lady who sets up a craft table each year at the park's "Junk in Your Trunk" sale. She said her sales were better than some craft fairs she does. Anytime you have an opportunity to sell and showcase what we make is good for business. Enjoyed the video and the advice.

Congrats on the payment. Yes i like to hear what other make on KZbin especially small KZbin like us. I have stopped making videos because it is a lot of work for little money. If you can add affiliate link it will helps bring some extra money. Share affiliate link of things that you use and recommends. This helps bring me a bit of extra fund with my KZbin Adsense. I have completely stop filming this year due to personal reason but I am wanting to come back maybe next year.

Great question! I was willing to do it for this single day show and no other. Every single other vendor there was also breaking trademark laws (25 vendors total). So I figured if they were going to arrest or fine us then we all go down as a group! I will never be selling these items again

You almost glow when you start talking numbers and statistics. I can tell you really like this part of the business. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts about the themed show. Do you think it's better to have themed items rather than a wide variety for a show? And you have quite a list of your upcoming shows to keep you busy. Too bad for me I'm not in your area or I would stop by to say hello in person. P.S. Before you make your list for next years videos, ask your followers for some suggestions. I have a few things I'd enjoy a video about.

You do nice work! I can tell you were efficient. I'm impressed how fast you were able to do all the turning, etc. Love the key fobs. Do you find scrunchies sell well?
@samanthatansley27 күн бұрын
Thank you so much! I am all about efficiency 😊 (it also helps when you’ve made the product hundreds of times before) The scrunchies are a horrible product to try to sell. This is because there are other sewists at shows selling them for $2 each or 3 for $10. In my opinion, they should be over $8 each. They are a simple project but a pain to make, especially the elastic. I am not selling the scrunchies this weekend. Check out my video below to find out what I plan to do with them!
