Hello I have just tried your game I have completed it under a hour it is very good and the horses have very good detail but try and make it a bit harder and put people in also try a do more disciplines then showjumping but it is a good game!

Fun fact, for the Japanese release of the Vita version, you could customize what your robot can say, because the Japanese Vita game came with a version of Vocaloid (I think) or some sort voice customization software that made this possible. You could literally let the robot call you honorifics, or "master", or roleplay AI girlfriend etc. This feature didn't make to the international release. It was the AI voice generation of 2015, way ahead of its time.

Atleast it is stable unlike PSVita back in the days. Still love playing it back then.

Was (and still) my favourite game along with Toukiden and the God Eater bundle of God Eater: Resurrection and God Eater 2: Rage Burst back on the PS Vita! *Really* Hoping Freedom Wars is successful enough to get a sequel and that we can also get remastered ports of Toukiden 2 and the God Eater Bundle for the Nintendo Switch!

dont have a ps5 so im trying to decide if i should get this on PC or Switch, i know alot of times the PC ports of japanese games always get funky and buggy. Loved this game back when i had the vita, even after getting 0 year sentence i played it for a good while

I'm surprised they deciced to revive this out of the blue. This game popped up to get a slice of Monster Hunter pie among other competitors like God Eater, Soul Sacrifice, Toukiden, etc. back then, and pretty much just came and went away unnoticed. Granted, it was pretty ambitious for its time with its visuals (though it doesn't age that well), combat with all kinds of interactivity such as being able to topple the bosses, climb them, dismember their limbs and even steal their weapons (you can also use the thorns to climb around the stages which was kind fun) and the pretty deep character customization for both yourself and AI companion (in fact, I had way more fun making characters than the actual gameplay itself). The story is pretty interesting but still full of cliche anime tropes, so it doesn't really bring anything new to make you feel more immersed with the world or looking forward to the plot. The NPCs are kinda bland, too, which some games manage to move people due to the characters and their development even more than the plot. All in all, the game doesn't offer much and combat gets repetitive real quick, especially due to the lack of weapon variety, move sets and deeper mechanic (it's mostly light attack, heavy attack, lassoing enemies here and there, stealing some big guns to shoot for a bit, then rinse and repeat. The overall movements also feel very sluggish, despite being able to dash and zipping around like Spider-man with the thorn lasso. Aiming the thorn lasso is also a pain (if the remaster could fix that with the gyro control, it would help a lot, but wouldn't really be a major fix to the game). There's also the sudden difficulty spike that gatekeep a lot of people, as if it's a free mobile game that expects you to fork over cash to get past that hill. It's an interesting game to try out for sure, but it quickly gets stale and I don't feel like I'm making progress - unlike in Monster Hunter where you can clearly feel becoming more in-tuned with the game's mechanics, mastering the weapon of your choice and even your armors show your accomplishment and progress. In summary, if you enjoyed this game before, more power to you, but if you're new to MH style games, ESPECIALLY if you're the type that enjoy MH World and Rise but despise the classic Monster Hunter games, you're gonna be in for a bad time. If you really want to try out other classic hunting games, I'd recommend the God Eater series.

Considering most Switch games run like crap this one looks pretty decent. I'd like to buy it for the Switch because of the nostalgia of playing it in handheld mode again, but the PS5 version runs WAY better and most importantly, is gonna have a larger playerbase (like 20 people 😂)
