If they are remaking The Witcher 1, I’m pretty sure they’ll remake The Witcher 2 because it just makes sense: you want continuity in graphics and gameplay. TW3 is wildly popular and CDPR will most likely want the first two games to mesh with TW3 and TW4 so that it’s cohesive. It makes no sense to remake one older game and not the others. I’ve not played the first two: I’d certainly buy the remakes though. As for decisions made in one game going into the next… that’s one feature I love about Mass Effect: it feels like the world you’re in continues from one game to the next. Maybe the decisions don’t matter in a galactic sense but choosing between Alenko and Williams makes a difference because one or the other is out for the rest of the series, as an example. I think it would be great for a decision in TW1 to be felt in TW3 as well, rather than each game resetting everything and nothing you do matters.

I would like to see a prequel as it would make it an old, forgotten school, for some reason and I think that would be dope, but sequel sounds good too

There is nothing in the book that said Geralt or Yennefer died. Geralt was mortally wounded but survied. And lived together married. Why the book do not continue is through the book Geralt is clear he is no longer a witcher. That part of his life has come to and end. This makes the story in all three witcher games really weird. Yennifer really got the short sraw in the last game. Yennifer in the game is very funny and caring and kind. She is potrayed as cruel to Dandloäiin in the game but in reality have helped him when he got in troubles with his wishes. 4:07 This scene with Yennifer is really not good in understanding the character. But it's also a missrepresentation of her. 5:37 there is nothing in the book that said they were married on the island. Triss call Ciri sister in the books all the time but also in witcher 3.

I wish they would just keep it simple and keep going with the story. Update the gaphics and whatnot and just keep doing what has worked for 10 years. The constant need to innovate and ceate the next benchmark results in many garbage games because they try too hard. Cyberpunk being the perfect example. They tried to make the game be everythng and it ended up a big bloated mess. I personally would just contnue the story, which varies based on your previous save file (Radovid being dead or alive, Tris or Yen, etc..) And then Geralt wants to settle down for good but some long forgotten enemy who we thought dead shows up again and causes problems. Or something like that. Geralt is the perfect protagonist. He is the most OP witcher. I would really really hate to be some nobody witcher tbh

If they censor it or do anything woke that changes the game, not including gameplay or graphics, I wont get it. Keep it M rated. Dont censor it because you are offended by what is in the game. This is an adult game for people over 17, it is not for kids. Keep the female characters looking like Witcher 3 women or better. Dont uglify them like most female characters get when they are based on a real woman. No race, gender(sex),sexual orientation or identity change just for the modern audience. Cater to the people who support the first 3 games and not the people who never bought it because of it being offended by it. They should care what their audience wants. Dont pull a SSKTJL and destroy the characters people love.

Sooo I have a pretty controversial opinion right there... They should TURN OFF the MINI MAP on default and only make it an option. This greatly enhances the immersion and makes the places much more memorable. On the smaller maps of the Witcher 1 it is possible to navigate doing this most of the time. e.g. Some Quests don't tell you where to go but the majority of places can be found by just walking around and talking to people(at least in the first two acts as I'm playing the original right now) If you get lost a quick look in the map makes you instantly know where to go next. The combat system is fiddely and they should definitely create a new one. The only thing that I want them to keep is the impact of alchemy. I really liked brewing potions in preperation of fights and you got used to it quickly. In contrast in my two playthroughs of the Witcher 3 I hardly ever used alchemy because it wasn't ever needed. A reason for that could be the skill that health regeneration lasts for insane amounts of time. But for making potions you have to meditate. Especially in Vyzima(idk how to spell that) there aren't enough spots to do that. Because of that I would like to meditate anywhere. If the devs don't want to risk loosing the immersion you could forbid to meditate outdoors. A personal point: I really like the uniquely looking water shader in the game which, at least for me, made the game instantly recognizable. It wasn't too unrealistic and it had a personal touch. They could also remove some of the unnessecary walking back and forth between some characters and of course they will fix some dialogue that doesn't make sense when experienced in the wrong way. I think they should definitely remove the trading card like images and overhaul some dialogues of getting there. That wraps up my collection of unrealistic wishes for the remake. I think it will be somewhere in between Geralt and V. The preset characters have some set personalities, maybe the appearance can be customized, but there's still only one name/title. I hope the players can affect the main characters' personalities in some ways. Let's say we did something ruthless, then the dub of the character will reflect that. Just some unrealistic wishes.
