Thank you so much four your video. My $2000.00 bike got stolen. It had a large lock and an alarm system. 113dB. The people who stole it are meth heads. They don’t care, they will even steal your scooters and bikes right in front of you. The police told me many times..."its catch and release". They will not serve time!!!! The jails are overloaded. So innocent, good people like you and I are always going to be the victims. Good video though.

I use one to lock an awkward backpack blower down on my setup.. Often after unlocking even tho the button isnt depressed it just changes the code on its own accord. I assume this happens after someone scrambles the code & maybe it suffers the bump. None the less obvious is a poor design for this to be a regular problem for multiple people

Nice bike-i have a titanium bike to and the same lock which has never let me down, because the lock is designed to tilt to fit over a belt I find it rattles a fair bit though in the mount. I have tried everything to get rid of this rattle but as I always pair this DX lock with the chain you wear I often slot it in there somehow haha! :-D

My code has recently changed on its own. Been using the lock for the better part of a year. No issues. Then suddenly one of the digits is different. Took me 30 minutes to figure out the new code. What gives??

I was bikepacking last week and had the same thing. I didn't change from the default 0-0-0 but (having debugged once home) it's now 8-0-0. I had to brute force it off which worked (thankfully) but had damaged the plastic . Only used it three times too :/

They sell chains and pad locks too I think. That will have to do even if not as grinder resistant. I f you can't fit one of the grinder resistant U or D locks out there, there are a few, then a hardened square or polygonal security chain and a big secure padlock will have to suffice. Security chain not regular chain and a padlock you research not just any old one...Videos more aimed at scooter and motorcycle owners would be more appropriate to watch for you...

Unless the screws/bolts are welded in or have some kind of permanent cover over them couldn't someone just unscrew it out of the ground?

Often these devices come with a way of disabling it from being removed, such as using ball bearings and a hammer to round off the hex bolts, or ways of rounding off the bolt heads.

Expanding bolts, then ball bearings go in the Allen key hole and can’t be removed once they’re in… so I’ve heard

I even use the chain for my motorcycle. It would be good if hiplock did something sold secure diamond or the higher rating for motorcycles with maybe a water proof motion 😅siren or something

@@HiplokBikeLocks cheers they look amazing. A lot of the food delivery guys could probably do with a presentation from hpllock over physical locks-the police would most likely say the same thing. I have been using hiplock for 10 years and done thousands of deliveries and they have done amazing. It may be great to see the German standards that exceed the sold secure gold I know at least possibly as criminals quickly moved and move with the times
