To me one of the greatest moments in Canadian sports history. And so few Canadians have seen this. Sigh.

Awesome race. Really shows how much ski technique has evolved over the years. These guys are all great athletes, but they would all look very clumsy compared to Klaebo nowadays. Even Harvey just before he retired has way different technique then he has here.

It is difficult to imagine so many contenders for victory today.

In a team sprint? Russia, France, Norway, Sweden, and Italy all would have a good shot. Sweden's definitely the favorite on the women's side but the swiss, Russians, Norwegians and slovenians could all win

Very well done video production. I love Gerry Stephenson's Lancashire accent, so comforting and straightforward. A great video for Canmore lovers of their history and the coal mines that started it all.

Lovely to hear Gerrys professional and competent expertise on this issue. Will do my best to spread the knowledge further.

Why didn‘t the Norwegians put Northug in the final leg? They easily would have won it..
@bobroberts58203 жыл бұрын
Until Klaebo, Hattestad was the most successful male sprinter of all time. Northug has a great kick but Hattestad was arguably the best in the world. A lot of it came down to Hattestad doing so much chasing and Harvey having fresher legs for the last couple hundred meters.

+J Desroches Yes, and the worst of the damaged houses have been removed and amazingly, the lots are back up for sale again. When we bought, we were told it was a 50-100 year flood plain, but 3 major floods in the last 20 years kind of negates that theory.

A beautiful, well thought and of course professionally done documentary. Thanks for documenting and sharing this educative film. I have been reading about Canmore mining since I moved to Canmore, but haven't got as many information as in this film. I also watched another documentary about Canmore mining and both films are very educative. Thanks again.

The bike path is totally destroyed behind the building I live in. I was very close to evacuation. Extremely scared for quite a while. Feels good to be back at work at get back to normal again. All of the crews and volunteers who worked very long hours on the clean-up were totally amazing! I am very greatful for a lot of help so very quickly. Rob you r just awesome! I was glued to the local radio station often to hear for current updates. I did tons of emailing to people.

200 mm rain that's one month worth of rain in 24 hours{very unusual} ,Canmore is in the rocky mountains this was a freak storm , it brought, washed down to much snow too fast too early ,this was simply the power of mother nature at its best. After the water leaves here it goes east through 3 provinces and drains into the Hudson bay after flooding parts of Canada I don't think the is likely to have a impact on our oceans or sea's !

Sami Jauhojärvi was just phenomenal in that race... if Nousiainen had been stronger, they might have won, but he just died at the end! Do you have the video from the previous leg? I remember seeing it, and Jauhojärvi was going up the hills at such an incredible pace!!! Anyway, I love this video, I get goosebumps every time I see Alex passing Hattestad!!

Though not specifically stated, the images of mountain sheep suggest that a quarry here would adversely affect them. Not so. Huge active quarries in Bow Valley host great numbers of sheep who are quite comfortable meandering around the quarry itself, so that argument won't fly at all. The erosion aspect, however, is a valid concern. Those chinook winds are often furious. Core grizzly habitat, but how many grizzlies are actually seen there? Few, I suspect. Too open.

Livingstone Ranch is a paradise for human and animals as well and our habitat since 2 years.Nobody can claim the right to destroy a paradise like that.Money means not all and everything on this earth.We saerched such a long time for that piece of land for ourselves and all those rescued animals as well which finally found their freedom here again. A petition world wide would help us quite a lot.We are mighty all together only! Love from Brigitte/Heaven's Gate

wonderful views of the Livingstone area, thanks! one thing that was missing for me in this film was hard data about the proposed mine. is the area to be mind 1ha in size, 10ha, 100ha or more?
