Think about this 🤔 cowboys, industrial workers, bikers , and any kind of rough necking made these hats by just day too day wearing it. And adding to the look themselves. Why are we paying someone a lot of money for it.

@@charlesweaver722 in this case, you’re paying for the handmade craftsmanship, no different than similar prices that you would find for traditional cowboy/dress hats. CDT have a particular style that appeals to me, so I’m happy to make the investment and in this case share about it.

I like to upset the Hornets nest guys are paying a huge amount of money for hats with distressed looks like this hat from a designer 😅😮, but if you pay attention to the so-called details and you experiment with cheap a hat from a second hand store you can do the same look for a fraction of the cost with things you have around the house it's called DIY 😅 I did it with a 10.00 genuine felt wide brim fedora second hand Goodwill store 😉 😄 😀. Find a hat that fits you have some fun scorch it, cut it, add to it and make it your own, and don't go broke doing it.

@@charlesweaver722 I think thrift finds are great too! I’m an avid thrifter myself and find both sides of the coin to have some value. There are some things I thrift, and there are other things like this that I like to invest in. And to your point I believe there’s value in thrifting and designing things yourself. There’s also nothing wrong with investing in pieces like this if you find it to be worth it.

I agree. I wish I could afford a custom fitted and hand-made hat, but food and shelter for the old lady and me comes first we're in our senior years but still trying to look good after 25 years of marriage I have to keep the old girl still smiling when we step out. 😄😁😁

That’s awesome!! I’ve seen that pair once on eBay, but very few and far between nowadays. In my opinion, that’s all a part of the fun because the hunt makes it much more worth it.

The product link doesn't work and the company website shows 0 results for "Nomad" and "Blackwood" in the search box. I am shocked, but that Blackwood is beautiful in suede. One thing that makes Nomad superior to Schott is the double zipper in front. That is a huge benefit to this jacket for riders, although most of us wouldn't wear this on a bike because it has no armor. Still, riders have been screaming for this feature forever. Schott deserves every credit due, but not everyone can afford their garments, and I'm one of them. That zipper is a deal maker and I am 31" waist with no belly. Every riding jacket should have this.

Unfortunately they have since discontinued both of those pieces, they’re from older collections. They had to make room for some newer and killer pieces! They’ve got an amazing lineup of leather truckers, along with biker jackets that are similar to the Nomad and Blackwood, such as the Belvedere!

I'm not even going to ask why they are discontinued. Things that illogical cannot be explained. They discontinued two of the most attractive jackets they carried. Even Spock could not explain this one. That's like Schott discontinuing... never mind. Oh well, there is the secondary market. @@cutandsown

There's a couple in rust color, but nothing in black and kinda busy looking. All the sizes are marked through. The "Nova" is sold out too. They must make one of each and sell out every size, which is strange. They have nothing like what you showed and that's really unfortunate and a little crazy that you wouldn't replace something so popular. Thanks for the info! @@cutandsown

Nothing quite like the hunt! I’m always looking for pieces on the secondhand market that I consider to be grails. Fingers crossed they release some new biker jacket styles! They have the cafe racers, but I really love the perfecto silhouette.

I love their jackets! First got the Daytona rust, then got the Goldrush, now have just ordered the Convoy. I've got a stocky build, but their jackets fit me perfectly. I used to have a few jackets from Straight to Hell - i've given them away in favour of my Master Supply Co., cause they simply don't compare.! Be keeping my eye out for the next jackets MSCo release.

They’re the best!! They’re the only brand that has jackets that fit me well. I’ve done the same and sold the rest of my other leathers and now only wear Master, from their Nomad to Badlands to a couple samples!

How tall are you? Im 5’7 24 inch sleeves seem perfect 46 inch chest (athletic build) 27.5 back length works for me on all my trucker jackets.

Thank you for your question! I am 5’6”, with a slightly broader shoulder build. I found all of their jackets fit perfectly in a size US small, and I now alter the sleeve length to 60-61cm.

I have a question about the ankle boot. How does the sizing run on them? I’ve read that the run big. So sizing down a half size, to a full is necessary for a good fit. I’m looking to purchase my first pair of JV boots, the Fleetwood and would like to have a good idea before doing so. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for asking!! I generally wear a size 9 (42) in sneakers, but for my ankle boots I sized down to an 8 (41). However I recommend that if you have wide or flat feet, then go a half size down or stick with your usual size!

@cutandsown Aha, well, I currently have around 26 or so rings, and most of them are actually from their discontinued campaigns that I was lucky to find. So have pieces from their Shogun (japanese) collection, to their Kingdom Collection, as well as a few rarer pieces and newer ones too. Definitely a nice one you got there then. Looks awesome.

@@aydan7901 I got it at a jewelry store called Super Silver CDA in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho! They specialize in hand picking Navajo jewelry, mostly silver. I walked in out of curiosity and walked out with 2 Navajo rings - the onyx ring you saw and a turquoise ring!

Nice review! I own the Ironhorse, grimshaw rancher, daytona rust and a black statesman. Ive stuck with master supply co because all their stuff fits me perfectly, and they are such cool guys and incredibly helpful. Im strongly leaning towards the badlands for my next piece -- love the look of that one. It looks great on you!! Or perhaps rhe scoundrel. Ive been fortune that i havent had any issues with sleeve length -- im 6'1, 180lbs and all of my pieces except for the grimshaw are mediums. My grimshaw is a large. It feels like sleeve length on the grimshaw is shorter than the others. Thankfully it looks great slightly oversized.

Thank you very much!! And that sounds like a solid collection! I’ve been eyeing the Ironhorse for a while now hahaha Same here. I only get leathers from Master because their quality is top-tier and consistent. Their great customer service makes every experience better too. I’ll say this, my Badlands jacket is my most worn piece. Even in the summer 😂 it’s such a versatile jacket and can be worn with just about anything. That said, the Scoundrel is a killer piece too and has plenty of space to style in and of itself. You won’t go wrong either way!!

My very first bespoke from another brand was actually European Hare, and I loved it for as long as I had it. How long did it take for a custom to be made brother?

1-2 months! It depends on the amount of detail that goes into the hat they’d make for you, as well as whatever their workload is at that point. The shortest I waited from my initial inquiry was a month. The longest I waited was two months. So I’d plan for 1-2 months if you plan on getting a custom lid. Absolutely worth the wait though! I just got another piece I’ll be showcasing on my social media soon.

Had a look at Helios. No way their attention to detail is as good as Clocks and Colours. Plus most their designs looks like rip off versions of what C+C have made. C+C by fair has the best details with their pieces, especially their older pieces.

Before discovering Helios, I used to purchase jewelry from Clocks and Colours. However, their products were too big for my taste, and I prefer jewelry that is smaller and more delicate. Helios Global is a much better fit for me, and their prices are much more affordable compared to Clocks and Colours.

I understand price for not going for C+C, but they still have smaller designs if you don't want the heavier ones. But for what you are getting C+C does a way better job in quality and design to justify to cost and Helios has a few that just look like cheap rip offs of C+C's designs.

Whatever you do, don't put anything hot in that mug. Since the whole thing is made out of heavy brass it gets really hot. To the point where you can't hold it. Other than that, its a great mug and worth purchasing.

You’re not alone! One of my buttons popped out when I was trying to unbutton the jacket straight out of the packaging. I fixed mine with some super glue.

I have a lot of there jewelry my bracelet is my favorite the hand carved links are absolutely stunning I also have the mom ring they made for my mom she passed away it never comes off my hand. BUT there sunglasses are just stupid looking my opinion. I’ll stick to Oakley for eyewear. But as for jewelry just WOW.

I will admit the sunglasses are an acquired taste! They have grown on me personally, but there are many other brands that offer great eyewear too. Oakley included!

@@cutandsown Did you soak/wash it before you got it tailored? Raw denim will shrink 1%-3%. If you got it tailored before that it will be pretty sug after the first wash. I got a large size in The Bluejay and after a soak it shrunk quite a bit. But I sized up so it worked out for me. But you did say you normally wear an xs so you may be ok.

@@domnech I did! I threw it in the wash, then took it to my tailor. Now it fits exactly to my liking! Given that this was my first raw denim jacket, I got lucky. But I’ll keep your tip in mind should I get more raw denim 🤘🏻
